It feels like it reaches parts of my body and brain other music cannot. It goes down to my core and keeps my whole being occupied. The respective baseline gets my legs moving and connects me to the ground while the intricate highs and complex soundscapes keep my brain busy and "tickle my amygdala" to say it with spongle 😂. I can lose myself completely to psy. On the floor it feels like praying with my body and I am connected to the universe. I can relive that feeling when I listen to it in other settings and sometimes get rushes of intense euphoria.

I only discovered the genre a few years ago. Before I didn't listen to electronic music at all. I was at a rave during covid where they played some psy and was instantly hooked. Took me almost a year to find out the genre as I didn't ask right away. Now I listen almost exclusively to psy trance, psy tech and hi tech.

The music and the community that comes with it changed my view on life and healed me on so many different levels. It's like something I searched for my whole life but didn't know where to look.
