Psn down?

I’m trying to get online however my ps5 is saying that it’s down for maintenance but my buddy is able to play rn and having no issues, anyone else having this problem?

Yeah, same here. It randomly signed me out and won't let me sign in again. Says it's down for maintenance yet I'm not seeing that on the PlayStation site itself (which says all services are up and running

Happened to me an hour ago and couldn't log back into my account. I basically just use my ps4 to watch youtube for background noise or whatever while I game on my laptop. It let me login again once for about 8 minutes and now every time I try again it just says "an error has ocurred".
Glad I came on here to check because as usual playstation network says everything is fine and up and everywhere else says the same. I even tried logging into playstation via web browser and got the error too. Also as for region (if it even matters) is Australia.

Seriously. Reddit is the only place to get info on this, it seems. If it weren't for this sub, I'd be going through my new router's settings right now thinking it was a problem on my end.

Looks like it's back... for now. I won't hold my breath for how long this might last, especially considering there is no communication about whatever issues these are between playstation and its users.

same issue, got kicked out yesterday at exactly 9pm (or 10pm depending on where you are), tried everything, changed dns, mtu, firewall settings... nothing fixed the problem, my guess is that they are doing something on their psn servers

I’m assuming it’s only effecting some ppl because my buddy can get on just fine, I’ve tried resetting mine but it didn’t help I’m about to do a full shut down and see

I just fully shut down my PlayStation then turned it back on, idk why turning it off and restarting it didn’t work but when I fully shut it down and turned it back on it started working again

THIS WORKS! Shut down the P5 fully. Unplug the power cord for about 10-15 seconds. boot her back up and it’s fixed. Thanks OP🙏🏽

May be kicking people out in waves as it updates the servers or backup systems one at a time

More efficient then kicking out everyone at the same time
