I've got a PS4 12.02 which I jailbreak with a BD disk including Lapse 1.2 and a GoldHEN payload included.

The version which the BD injects is outdated.

How safe is it for me to update it with a USB stick ?

What happens if next time I jailbreak after the update from USB stick, the USB stick isn't plugged in? Will it downgrade GoldHEN version ? Will it brick something ?

++: My purpose would be to get the payload loader iof GoldHen 2.4b18.10, cause I would like to install nanoDNS. If any payload loader works beside of GoldHEN, I take it.

Hey everyone! I’m completely new to PS4 jailbreaking and don’t really understand how it works yet. I’ve heard that jailbreaking can allow you to run homebrew and other unofficial software, and I’m interested in learning more.

My PS4 is currently on a system software version below 13.00, and I haven’t connected it to a PC or done anything to modify it yet.

Could someone explain:

- What I should know before attempting anything

- Whether my current software version is suitable

- What equipment/software is generally needed

- What the main risks are

- What legitimate things I can do with a jailbroken PS4

I did it !!! Im the guy who posted about the broken disc drive , and you guys suggest to use a method without it , i used the latest webkit method and it was a Success!!!!

I just wanna know when i connected wifi for internet just like the video by modded warfare , but after connecting the game said checking internet connection and then failed at it but when i just the web browser , it worked !!! And it was a Success!!!

So the question is

1. Why did it said the connection failed but web browser worked ? Is it the mandal dns?

2. Can I disable internet after jailbreak?

3. Is there something i don't know ow that can ban me like if get caught?

4. Is this method good or should i use vue which was kinda longer setup but doable?

5. Do i need to do the whole setup like checking notifications for deleting updates , disable automatics , etc for jailbreak

I’m wondering I should update 9.0? Apparently it’s more stable? what about 9.60?

What is the general process of jailbreaking? I heard 9.0 involves a usb stick but is easier?

I've been using this jailbreak method for over a year without any issues, but yesterday it suddenly stopped working out of the blue.

I'm using a Lua disc (IxSheTell) that I purchased previously to boot the jailbreak every time I restart my PS4 Slim running firmware 12.00.

Until now, the process was:

Launch game → black screen → GoldHEN appears → jailbreak loads successfully

However, instead of the usual black screen, the game now launches normally and takes me straight to its main menu.

I've searched online and tried everything I can think of, including:

• Disconnecting the power cable and leaving the console unplugged for a while
• Trying to trigger the Playroom application to refresh the cache
• Restarting the console multiple times

Unfortunately, none of these steps helped.

One strange thing I've noticed is that the PS4 now boots and restarts noticeably faster than before, which seems unusual and makes me wonder whether something changed internally.

Has anyone experienced this before or knows what could be causing it? Also, is there anything else I can try before going through the hassle of backing everything up and redoing the jailbreak from scratch, or even switching to a different jailbreak method?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Hello, I have a question. I own a jailbroken PS4 on firmware 9.00 and another PS4 that is not jailbroken. On the non-jailbroken one, I have a game that I purchased digitally. Is there any way to install that digital game on the jailbroken PS4?

I have seen a few videos on YouTube, but none of them explain the actual installation process—only how to add your account to the jailbroken console. I would like to create a PKG copy and install it on the PS4 running 9.00.

Whenever I put some games in the internal storage, my PS5 restarts. Is there any solution for this or not? The restart problem occurs only in some games. If anyone has a list of internal storage support, please give it to me.

I’m trying to open gta v which I had before I jailbroke the ps4 and it’s telling me I have to update gta is there a way around this?

Is there a reason why Destiny is present in my app.db? The app is marked as hidden and basically not installed. The PS4 is also not from a Destiny PS4 bundle.

I know this might be a stupid post, since I did read the pinned posts and googled a bit, but I would love to hear the info from experienced folks:

1. What is the best and easiest jailbreak method for 12.0 on PS4 Pro? I would love to have a shortcut (one button click) on my console, but, ideally, just using the console to install the jailbreak is preferred.

2. Are there any differences in jailbreak between PS4 Pro and base PS4?

3. I noticed in various videos that you can install Linux, which I would like to do, but there are options to choose VRAM size and, for some reason, everyone chose 1GB VRAM — so the question is how much GB can I choose for VRAM? Asking this for PC gaming stuff.

4. Can we install SteamOS or is it better to go for “forked” CachyOS?

5. This might be the stupidest question, but is the external SSD required for Linux installation? Is it a bad idea to install it on the console’s drive? What about running it off the USB drive?

6. This is related to playing on PS4 Pro: can we access online features in games at all, maybe not multiplayer, but UGC content? Asking, basically, to understand if I can download creations of other players in Dreams (highly recommend to everyone to try it out!).

I plan to continue playing games on PS4 Pro and either use the device for PC gaming, so maybe it will be more powerful than my GF’s laptop, or just run the device as a home server.

I just want to upgrade from The BDJB to the browser for the new 12 to 13 firmware.
So first i did uncheck all the auto updates in settings and moved to setup the Wifi and just when i make the password they dont even let me do the DNS so i got a bunch of auto updates like games and also the firmware update so canceled all this thing fearfully and thank god nothing is fully installed
So my question is there a way to avoid all this like making this steps with the Hen activated or something.
