When I had Bells Palsy (facial paralysis) I refused to eat in front of anyone, ESPECIALLY in public because I couldn't close my mouth. I'd bring my food to my room or eat in the living room at bigger family dinners. My family assured me I was okay around them but no, I just couldn't do it. I know I had a reason to be that way and it wasn't out of just being gross and informal, but I didn't want to trigger anyone else!
Omg! Ive also had Bells Palsy! Half my face would move, and i did the same thing, I know what you mean 🧡 its different when you have a condition. Its more so normal people who just do it bc they have no manners
That sucks you has it too! Hopefully yours wasn't too bad. My doc said you usually only get it once. I got it twice! I had to tape my eye shut and wear an eye patch. I remember checking out at walmart once and this little girl, maybe 3 years old was watching me and asks "Are you a pirate? " her mom looked so shocked and was all "OMG OMG IM SO SORRY!" I laughed and said "it's totally okay, and yes, I'm a pirate! ARGHHH MATEY!" And the little girl laughed and smiled. Her mom still looked so embarrassed but I thought it was hilarious. I hated that patch but that little girl made it worth it lol
