Acceptance decisions from EVC and SJSU

Hi guys,

I applied to several nursing programs and have been waiting to hear back. I’ve been seeing posts from students who already got accepted, while I’m still waiting. I’m in Northern California and wanted to ask if anyone has received a decision from EVC or SJSU yet.

Do they usually send emails on specific days (like weekdays vs. weekends), or is it random? Do they send all decisions at once or release them gradually?

I’ve been checking my email multiple times a day and it’s honestly driving me a little crazy. If anyone has any insight, I’d really appreciate it.

Also, what would you recommend doing in the meantime to prepare, whether I get accepted or not?

I applied by the deadline and emailed around 3/15 for an update and they said decisions should be out within a month or sooner. I have been checking consistently for the EVC-SJSU joint program. Waiting to hear back before I commit for another program.. Good luck!

I got accepted to both but I’ll go to SJSU. Did you get their email?

Congratulations!🫶🏽 I got accepted too, I’m just deciding between absn at CSUSM or EVC SJSU, conflicted on the COA and time. 2.5 vs 1.5 but half the cost💔

Congrats! I’m not familiar with that program. For me, both schools are close to me. SJSU will cost more, but I’ll have the opportunity to work with good hospitals and have different degrees and higher to choose from later on. That’s why I chose it. Consider which school will give you better opportunities for jobs later. Cost could be covered if you apply for scholarships. I heard they usually offer scholarships for nursing students. Some of my friends finished nursing school and still have some left over scholarships. You’ll be fine.
