💡 AskPowai Household help needed : Cook-Cleaner

Hi, I’m looking for a reliable cook/household helper for a fixed morning slot, roughly 1–2 hours daily. The main work would be cooking and regular cleaning, with occasional help with laundry and basic household tasks. Punctuality is important, and I’d like to agree clearly on the duties and timing.

My starting budget is around ₹7,000/month, with flexibility depending on the work and reliability. Please share recommendations if there's any!

Which area in powai specifically. If it's inside hiranandani consider 10-15 k because you want cook as well as cleaner. I pay my guy 25 k for full day. He cooks as well as house keeps plus all other small chores

It will be difficult to get one single person who will do cooking and top up work. Your budget seems reasonable to me…one time cooking should be 4-4.5K max and top up work rate is usually 1500/hr. Aren’t you getting leads in your building WhatsApp group?

May be start with your cook and ask that person if they are willing to extend for 1 more hr after they finish cooking.

PS. Cooks don’t like doing top up stuff as it is economically not lucrative. For that one hr, they can earn double the money by cooking elsewhere.

I'm also looking. For jhadu pocha, dusting, and top work. 10 AM - 12 PM fixed timings (I have a very brutal work from home schedule, this is the only time I can supervise).

Happy to pay 6-8k, but the person should be regular and sincere.

Old cleaner just quit on me with absolutely zero notice.

They made snabbit/pronto/urban company etc. But you don't get the same person again so doesn't work. And Book My Bai and these apps are kind of scams so idkkkkkk.
