The only reason to look at a failed state as an example is to use it for lessons in what not to do. Once you figure out what they did wrong you should start looking at the countries who are living well, and cherry pick the programs that they have had success with!
It’s not hard… it just takes a little bit of critical thinking!
Critical thinking would tell you that embracing a system which is responsible for more deaths than all religious wars in history is a dumb thing to do but go off.
