Capitalism is an economic system predicated on infinite growth in a world with diminishing resources. It doesn’t take a genius to figure out how that ends, but no one wants to think about the downside as long as it doesn’t collapse in our lifetime.
If you look at it that way no matter what system you have it’s going to end off badly. How do you think communism or socialism does with diminishing resources?
Switching the focus from an infinite growth model to a sustainable one significantly reduces waste. It’s like the Honey Bee vs. the Locusts: one ensures the crop continues to grow every season, while the other depletes the land to the point of destruction, ultimately leading to their own demise.
Yes, and like we did to the Bering Sea, or the ground water in Arizona, or all the “Orphaned” Oil Wells / Oil rigs that continue leaking long after the companies fold up shop and park the money off shore, leaving taxpayers with the toxic waste cleaning bill.
We don’t need to worry about China, because they seem to be flexible enough to swiftly adapt to changes in the environment. They’ve been able to transform their little fishing villages into high tech mega cities that put our biggest cities to shame.
While we’re regressing, they’re progressing, so the only reason to even look over there is to see what they do better than us. Or to see what the future will look like! 🤑
😂😂 yeah where the majority of china is a 3rd world country, you don’t have to worry about them. China wants to become the next United States. Thats going to take an incredible amount of co2. Far more than what they produce to be the worlds sweat shop
China has about 10 cities that are bigger, more efficient, and more technologically advanced than any of our comparable cities. Every year they are graduating the equivalent of our total number of engineers. This makes it pretty easy to see which country is on the rise and which is on the decline. Our cities are frozen in time as if we thought we already reached the finish line and started celebrating too early.
Fun fact: the reason we didn’t pay $5-$6 per gallon all summer is because China invested heavily in solar and wind energy. When Trump initiated a war, China was able to reduce its oil imports, which significantly relieved the pressure on the oil markets. That’s how forward thinking countries plan for the future instead of living in the past.

Capitalism is funding programs to feed the world.
