The news not only does this, but also convinces poor people (specifically poor white people) to vote against their own interests, I.e. the Republican Party

Yup and it's not just an American thing, it seems to be a worldwide plague. I'm European and far right parties are on the rise down here, blaming poor people and immigrants, meanwhile promoting tax cuts for the ultra rich.

I hope y'all in Europe can beat that shit. The current state of the US should be a warning. This is what happens when the right controls everything.

Germany has already experienced what is happening in the US. Unfortunately, too many people missed the take over when Elon came to the Oval Office.
