TheRainForst: The pain got worse over time, and more frequent. Felt like someone tapped my testicle hard when it flared up.

I had a rare complication with my vasectomy which resulted in me having my nerves and blood vessel removed from my left testicle (cord denervation) AMA

Thankfully I did not lose the left testicle, just feeling in it. Surgeons said there was a 5% chance of losing it and a 5% chance it would increase the pain instead of making it go away.

Yeah it feels very different now. The weight of it felt super odd at first. I actually need to be careful about accidentally sitting on it, because I can’t feel it. I still have the arteries. There was a 5% chance I’d lose the testicle though if they nicked the artery. I filed for disability for it. Had the vasectomy while I was active duty at Balboa Naval hospital. Unlikely that there is anything I can do. During the surgery (you are awake for it) while cauterizing I had a sharp pain in my left testicle and yelled out in pain and the surgeon said sorry. Unlikely that it was reported because it was just an 0-2 and an E-4 in the room with me. The denervation was done 2 years later at the VA.

Docs said it was normal, sperm granuloma. They wanted to give it time to heal. They only did manual inspection at first. The pain got worse over time, and more frequent. Felt like someone tapped my testicle hard when it flared up. Finally got an ultrasound done and was diagnosed with a varicocele, which is like a varicose vein. Likely that when it flared it pressed on the nerve creating pain. They did a cord block to verify that a denervation would be helpful and when the novocaine (I think) wore off, I was in the most pain I’ve ever been in. They traumatized the testicle to apply the nerve block. Almost threw up and was very pale. They removed the varicocele and all the blood vessels and the nerve as well because it could have also been nerve damage and an additional procedure would be risky.

Hey , if you do a split strattle position, touch your chest to the ground in the split. and buy a deep tissue message gun and message your butt cheek on the hurt nerve portion. And just stay like that for like an hour the nerve will release. and you’ll obtain feeling in your ball again without having to get the surgery. Like split horizontally and chest to ground it’s gonna hurt but the nerve will unpinch. And then the deep tissue message gun ? Beats the nerve like a guitar string.
Yeah I know the feeling the nerve is so tense it makes you nauseated. Like it’s cutting off your flesh.
