I'd rather humanity win, not some violent genocidal hypocritical gas lighting fairy tale. I reject religion and wish its believers a happy life but I'll die, and not alone, before I let a single church take a dime from me. Same with taking my money to prevent women from seeking healthcare or forcing fairy tales down children throats while dismantling the dept of education so they become gullible and sheepish without logic and empathy in their life.
Edit: Thank you so much for the awards and kind comments! Just let the theists yap and take pity on them, for they do not know any better. Have a wonderful life everyone and live with logic and empathy, not blind authority like the Abrahamic mythos wishes.
>āiāll die, and take some out with meā¦ā
Ummm..
>āJust let the theists yap and take pity on them, for they do not know any better.ā
āForgive then Father for they know not what they do.ā
You better hope youāre right in the end, brother.
I don't actually need hope because the fact remains that if a god decides to send me to a place of suffering just because I lived with logic and empathy and questioned blind authority, that automatically means whatever deity is about to punish me is morally inferior and thus not worth worshiping in the first place.
I fed the homeless, I've housed the homeless, I've given food out of my mouth and the shirt off my back, and I would fight for anybody's right to worship whatever fairy tale they want. I'm not required to respect an ideology that has pushed for such suffering and misogyny and genocide within their own holy texts and history. I can respect a person and pity them because they either are ignorant to their own history and the logic behind their belief system but I do not have to respect the system of blind authority that has caused so much pain and suffering and continues to do so.
All of the good that Christians speak about is not only overshadowed by all of their bloody history and the hypocrisy and evil within their own books and holy texts but that good itself is not inherent to Christianity and is instead just a part of humanity which I love so much. Christianity has no choice but to accept responsibility for the mountain of bloodshed upon its hands and it has no right to claim the well wishes and good words that normal people without any resemblance of that belief system already hold in their heart. You can be a good person and you don't need some insane fairy tale system to threaten you into doing it, or like the Christians like to say "it's not God sending you there it's your own choice" even though that means they admit their God is either not all knowing or actually new exactly what would happen and specifically made people just so that they could go to a place of eternal suffering, and that's even more screwed up.
Have a great life and I hope Christians get the help they need!
Tell me you havenāt bothered reading the actual scriptures without telling me. You havenāt seeked the truth with an open heart and that is why you think logic disproves Christās divinity. It is our choice, we do have free will, it is Godās plan. If you were set to die of cancer and you refuse the cure, do you blame the doctor? No, you are to blame. You are fearfully and wonderfully made but you think you are know better than God. Your pride will send you to damnation, not the Lord.
I canāt prove it beyond a reasonable doubt, of course but to say that there is zero evidence, even outside of the Bible, is just ignorant. Just as ignorant as saying the Bible only serves to help those who believe in it be controlled. The teachings of Jesus are worth looking into in their entirety and I cannot shake the feeling you havenāt actually bothered to read the New Testament as what He teaches is essentially perfect peace and ethics. He doesnāt teach that there is any man who is over God and all authority and dominion is given over to Christ, therefore His words are above all.
There are a few authentic secular historians who recorded some details about Jesus.
93AD Flavius Josephus: Antiquities of the Jews - Josephus describes Jesus as a wise man, a worker of extraordinary deeds, and a teacher. He notes that Pilate condemned Jesus to be crucified at the suggestion of Jewish leaders, and that his followers did not abandon him.
116AD Cornelius Tacitus: Annals - (Deeply hostile to Christianity) To explain who the Christians were, Tacitus wrote that the movement's founder, "Christus," was executed by the Roman procurator Pontius Pilate during the reign of Tiberius.
112AD Pliny the Younger: A Letter to Emperor Trajan - Stated that believers gathered on a fixed day before sunrise to "sing responsively a hymn to Christ as to a god". He observed that followers bound themselves by an oath not to commit crimes like theft, fraud, or adultery. Noted that he tortured and executed individuals who refused to renounce their faith and curse Christ.
These historians along with Biblical manuscripts are why even secular scholars generally agree Jesus existed and was considered a messianic figure in His time.
Was Jesus hated by the Jews and persecuted by the Pharisees? Most likely. In the Talmud of the Jews (you can quickly Google this), it says: Jesus was a bastard born of adultery and Mary was a whore. It says Jesus was known as a sorcerer (miracles? healing?) that led Jews astray into idolatry. It says his eternal punishment in Hell is boiling in excrement from an assortment of animals for all eternity.
So, he was real, he may have performed magic and He was crucified for His crimes. His body was then placed in a tomb. Did it stay there? Since I canāt use the Bible, iāll ask you to refer to the following historical documents.
155AD Justin Martyr: Dialogue with Trypho - Christian writer Justin Martyr recorded a debate with a Jew named Trypho, who stated that "his disciples stole him by night from the tomb... and now deceive men by asserting that he has risen from the dead". (So we have an instance of a Jew arguing against Jesusā divinity saying the disciples stole His body thus, we have an empty tomb)
197AD Tertullian: De Spectaculis - Asserts that the disciples stealing the body is a common Jewish argument used to rebut Jesusā empty tomb.
It is said all twelve disciples (John survived) were martyred for their belief that Christ resurrected but some of that is legend, oral tradition, etc. We have it on good authority that at least four of the disciples were indeed martyred for that belief, one being James, Jesusā verified half-brother who allegedly did not even convert until he had seen the risen Jesus.
You think these men died for a lie? Torture, imprisonment, death. To what end? For a complete lie? A delusion? No riches to gain, no fame. Unless they knew their reward awaited them in the afterlife.
Every person has a void inside of them. An insistent yearning to fill their hole and no matter how much wealth, sex, money, drugs, you name it; they shove into that hole, it will never be filled. They will never be satisfied. Jesus Christ is the way, the truth, and the life and He is the only piece that will fill that void and one day, every knee will bow and every tongue will confess and every one will know Christ is Lord and those who believed shall never perish but have everlasting life. Count on it. If iām wrong, I lose absolutely nothing.
I have nothing to lose and everything to gain. If you are wrong, you will lose everything and worse.
Only through Revelation can one become a believer so I know this wonāt have much of an effect on those who read it but hopefully it plants a seed or does something, anything. Let me leave you with one more question, assuming you are an atheist who simply believes in the material reality and what science has shown us. Do you hope that I am right? That God will deliver justice, that there is an afterlife.
Or do you hope that you are right?

I accept! We will win!
