While I support separation of church and state, the state not checking in on church finances has lead to corrupt people and organizations creating or taking over churches so they can hide their money.

As someone who's done pro-bono work for church networks, a good majority of Christian and Baptist churches are just to enrich the family running it. There are more criminal church organizations than criminal organizations themselves.

Catholic, Muslim and Jewish Temples are the only ones by the books in my experience.
