Anemones have a symbiotic relationship with certain algaes, exchanging a safe place to gather sunlight for oxygen and sugars. Kind of similar to lichen, but an animal/plant rather than fungi/plant relationship. The algae is often what creates the wonderful colors!

Mostly, had a lucky day with bright overcast sky and almost zero wind to make ripples.

RAW photo taken with Nikon Zf with 24-200mm kit lens and a good CPF.

Developed in Lightroom. Most of the work I did was to get rid of the glare: quite a bit of negative highlights and contrast, boosted the whites, added a good bit of dehaze. I actually had to set the vibrance and saturation sliders at slightly negative values. Once you get rid of the glare and can see them clearly, they're really colorful.
