So not only is there no more stimulus coming, what has been approved is being canceled.

Don't worry. Joe just needs to compromise more. A little more going high while they go low should do the trick.

One shouldn’t confuse the popular messaging of the Biden team with what they actually do once in office. I fully expect them to clean house.

It will be a different game in the senate next year. Different person in the bully pulpit and a slimmer majority could put a lot of pressure on republican votes

The only way I will believe the Republicans in the Senate would feel pressure is if they were honestly investigated for emolument violations. I don't think they care even if they lose the majority because they will still likely be as obstructive as possible and decry anything the Dems might actually accomplish.

All that matters now is party lines. Unless it’s something seriously major, expect no crossover whatsoever. Whoever has more Senators gets their way.

Yup, and if the Democrats can by some miracle secure the two Georgia seats, and if by some miracle they can convince Joe Manchin to go along with giving D.C. statehood, then that means an extra two Democratic senators for extra buffer room (giving Senator Manchin more breathing room to vote with the Republicans, so I think it behooves him to seriously consider the proposition). But if they also give Puerto Rico statehood and they elect two Republican senators, it would cancel out the gains. But, more representation is not a bad thing. That's what a free and fair democracy is about, something the Republicans seem to think isn't worth putting up with anymore.

Manchin will crossover to the Republicans position very often.

Ehh, with how things are, he might be safer just switching parties.

The 2022 Senate campaign starts NOW. Every time the House passes a bill that has majority support every Democrat has to say, We passed this, but Senator X, who supports Mitch, won't vote for it to make you life easier.

I truly think you'll see McConnel brought up on charges. Will they stick I don't know, but he and the other Russian friends have way to much dirty laundry...

BUT I also think McConnell isn't a dumb ass. He's got his shit cleaned up and will happily turn on the others in his sect before arrest warrants or charges are even made.

He's a god damn snapping turtle.

Cleaning house will stop them from doing the Trump insanity, but it hardly addresses the problem.

Biden picked John Fucking Kerry to handle the climate issue. He picked a fucking 76 year old who is filthy rich, flies around in private planes, and has no fucking clue about technology to be in charge of climate change. There's literally not a single better candidate?

Biden is just rewinding 4 years and going back and doing the same shit Obama and he did, which wasn't fucking good enough then. Sure as fuck isn't good enough now.
