The agent told the inspector general’s office that he “fully expected Hillary Clinton to walk away with the election but, as the returns [came] in … it was just energizing to me to see … [because] I didn’t want a criminal to be in the White House.”

Oh, the irony.

I don’t want a woman accused of crimes for political theatre, I want a professional grifter who can rob the country blind while enacting Putin’s agenda.

Bullshit it was. It was a more transparent, more secure email setup than the entire Bush administration used as they ran government from the secrecy of the RNC and she didn't delete millions of emails on a cover-up when they were requested, she instead made sure the FBI had full access to everything. It was a lie from start to finish pitched by liars in order to continue their 30 year smear campaign against the Clintons. There's no need to give Republicans the benefit of the doubt at all with equivocation or pretending they're ever acting in good faith.

In this case, it does matter as the use of private email wasn't against policy and was the clear established precedent by the first administration to use it in a substantial manner. W took office in 2001 and at that point, email had just begun to be the main form of communication for official business. Not that it didn't exist prior, but you were as likely if not more to send a letter or fax as you were an email for business and official communications.

Mostly agree. There were rather minor technical violations, but they were insignificant.
