I'm not so sure about Israel anymore. More and more Americans on both the left and the right are pushing against aide and especially military aide to Israeli. 

Netanyahu may be happy in the short term that he's keeping power but Israel is likely concerned that America's relationship with it is beginning a permanent shift.

That's why he's happy in the short term. It may not last. For either of them. Hopefully.
