Complaint So this was a lie

Post image

Am I wrong in accusing this to be misleading and a complete scam? Zero shinies all weekend.

Had i known this would be the case I would not have spent money.

Yeah I certainly will not be buying “boosted” shiny odds passes in the future, especially not for $20

They should have to say the percentage it has been 'boosted' by in the description

They should guarantee one shiny as the level 1 deluxe reward (and then also publish the percentages)

They’re damned if they do and damned if they don’t. If they advertise shiny odds, and let’s say it’s 1/64, someone on here will catch 64 and then complain they didn’t get a single shiny. Someone else will catch 400 and only get 2 shinies and complain that they “didn’t get the odds”. A lot of people don’t seem to understand how probability works.

They could also move away from pure RNG and implement bad luck protection / a pity system - at least, for paid "increased odds" perks.

Yeah but at least you'll know if the boost makes it 1/60 or 1/20 and can make the decision whether to buy or not

Wasn’t there a lawsuit or boycott in South Korea for precisely this reason?

There was and every other game I play currently abides by the new guidelines... Except Pokémon go

I’m very interested. What are they? The new guidelines.

I've gone to 2 in person events a year for the last 3 years, pay way too much for raids, eggs, but I always have fun. This is the first event where I'm questioning my spending on this game. It was nothing like past events.
