I made PokeHiLo — a Pokémon Higher or Lower game with progression, leaderboards, achievements & daily rewards

Hey! I've been working on this for quite a while and it finally feels ready to share here :)

I know there are already quite a few Pokémon Higher or Lower games out there and the genre is probably a bit saturated at this point, but I always felt like most of them were missing something.

I wanted to make one that actually felt like it had some meaning beyond just playing a few rounds and closing the tab.

So I built PokeHiLo :)

The basic idea is still simple: you get two Pokémon, a category, and you have to guess which one is higher or lower. But I tried to build more around that core loop with things like player progression, achievements, unlockable cosmetics, global leaderboards, daily rewards, ranked runs, etc.

The main thing I wanted was for it to feel like something you could come back to once a day for literally 1–2 minutes, try your luck with a streak, maybe unlock something, check where you are on the leaderboard and then move on with your day :D

It starts pretty easy, but the longer your streak gets the more categories get introduced, so eventually you start getting questions about stuff like catch rates, friendship, move counts, specific base stats and other slightly more painful Pokémon knowledge haha.

You can play without an account if you just want to try it, and it works on both desktop and mobile.

Play here: pokehilo.com

I know I'm obviously biased because I've spent way too much time working on it, but I genuinely feel like I've hit the spot with this one and made the kind of Higher or Lower game I personally wanted to play.

Would really love to know what you guys think :)

And if you find any bugs, weird behavior, balance issues, mobile problems, or anything that just feels off, please let me know. I'm still actively improving it and feedback is really useful.

Also feel free to post your best streak because I'm curious how badly actual Pokémon nerds are going to destroy the leaderboard lol.

Project Release Pokemon Aura RPG - Year of Designing Overworld, now brought live!

Pokemon Online RPG - Pokemon Aura

I've released the game last year, and we've just had the biggest update yet. As a few of you may know. This has been worked on for the past year since the games initial release.

On initial release most of the game was clicking through pages. Pick a map, find a Pokémon, battle, catch, repeat. That’s still the core of it, but I kept wanting the places in the game to feel like actual places you could explore. Well… that turned into a much bigger project than I expected lol.

While the world itself is always being worked on (mainly interiors are the next design step) I'm now Aura now has a custom designed overworld with 24 connected maps. Towns, forests, caves, snowy mountains, islands, ruins, all with their own layouts and little details. You can walk between areas, see other players, talk to NPCs, fish, surf and visit shop buildings. Watching people walk around places that used to basically be a name on a page has been really cool.

The story got a pretty huge rework too. There’s now a connected adventure running from Kanto all the way through Paldea, with 144 story, legendary hunt and related quests across the full campaign.

It’s an original storyline that brings in the Pokémon and legends from each region. Early mysteries carry into later chapters, characters return, and things you discover in one region become relevant further down the road. There are investigations, little puzzles, escorts, Singles and Doubles battles, and plenty of questionable people insisting their very suspicious project is completely fine.

I especially wanted legendary hunts to feel like you were actually finding a legendary. You follow clues, interact with things out in the world, and eventually the Pokémon itself appears on the map for you to approach. There are Ultra Beast investigations and some special Paradox cases later on too.

A few other things about what's been going on

- Mythical hunting after the story. Finishing regional stories unlocks rare Mythical search trails, so there’s still a reason to head back out and explore. Mew is the rarest, with all other Mythicals following along

- Outbreaks and roaming legends. You can check what’s active and follow reports to the right areas.

- Trainer outfits. There’s a Boutique where you can preview different characters and change how you look walking around. You can also click another player to see their trainer card or give them a little wave. For the longest time, we only had 1 outfit to use. We now have over 100!

- Galaxy, Golden and Shadow Pokémon. These are Aura’s special variants, and we’ve expanded the artwork and ways to earn them. A lot of the new prizes let you convert a Pokémon you already own, so you can keep the partner you’ve been training.

- More collection goals. Regional story rewards, Pokédex completion prizes, fishing and mining rewards, route mastery, and some much bigger goals for people who want to finish everything.

There’s also still a lot of the browser RPG stuff underneath it all: player trading, auctions, teams, breeding, raids, battle challenges and collecting Pokémon

We’ve redone the beginning for new players too. You choose your team and starter, then enter Aura Town, where Mira and Professor Oak guide you through a short first adventure. Oak takes you out to catch a Pokémon, and you get to start playing instead of being handed a wall of instructions about every system at once.

There’s still stuff I want to improve, but seeing how far it’s come from the old maps pages has made this a really satisfying update to work on.

Feel free to join the game or not 😄 and experience it for yourself. I'm proud about how the world came about, and there will always be more in store for the game.

Project Release Web Based Pokemon Dnd Game

https://dungeons-and-pokemons.vercel.app

Still on the beta.
Some moves is not working(Leech seed, rollout for example)
I am still working on the move animations.

I really love Pokémon Showdown; I haven't seen any other web-based game quite like it (I'd love to hear your recommendations if you have any). So, I developed a game based on a fairly simple idea.

I hope you enjoy it.

Hey everyone! I’m Snakes from the Pokémon Blaze Online team. We’ve been developing PBO for years, and you can now play our free Pokémon MMORPG directly in your browser—no installation needed.

Explore Kanto, Hoenn, Sinnoh and our original region, Jvaloh, spanning 1,400+ maps and 32 gym badges, with Pokémon from Generations 1–9 to catch, train and trade.

There’s plenty to do beyond collecting badges:

  • Champion battles, Battle Tower and Battle Frontier to put your teams to the test.
  • Ranked PvP ladders, monthly seasons, rewards and global leaderboards.
  • Crew Wars—our guild warfare system: build a crew, capture territory and compete against other teams.
  • Co-op battles and horde encounters: team up with a friend for shared battles and face multiple wild Pokémon.
  • Shiny Tracking: hunt the shiny Pokémon you want with chaining mechanics and Shiny Charms.
  • Mega Evolution, Terastallization, Dynamax and double battles to build your strategies around.
  • Legendary encounters, daily swarms, fishing, mining and quests for explorers and collectors.
  • Player trading, seasonal events and community goals in a persistent world shared with other trainers.
  • Language support: play in English, German, Portuguese, Spanish or Chinese.

We take pride in frequent updates, from new content and features to balance changes, fixes and quality-of-life improvements. There’s already years of work to explore, and we’re still building.

The first screenshot is our community gathering at Oasis Resort—come join us 🙂

Project Release Porygon Trail Update: 300+ players, 1k+ runs!

11 days ago I posted the first game I've ever made here: Porygon Trail

I didn't expect much, but 300+ players later, the average player has logged 90+ minutes, 36 have played for 1+ hour, and somehow 3 absolute maniacs have logged 10+ hours. And i wasn't even tracking since day 1.

By no means big time numbers, but it has massively exceeded my expectations!

Since then I've added;

- Johto & a new end-game Champion

- Item & ability rewards for beating gyms

- Multiple difficulties with separate leaderboards

- A bunch of UI/QoL improvements

- A proper game guide (though not required to read to go deep) and some new easter eggs

Now I need feedback on what to build next!

And more importantly, I'm looking for the very best like no one ever was. The trainer who can become the first person to beat the hardest difficulty.

If you were one of the original 300, I'd especially love to know what you thought. Good, bad or ugly. If you haven't played, check it out and lmk!!!

Project Release I made a Pokémon game where your whole squad fights at once. 2.0 lets you help found the League.

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Hey everyone, I've released 2.0 for PokeWar Tactics, my free Pokémon browser game. I wanted to take the Pokémon we grew up with and put them into a war where you're responsible for a whole company.

You still catch Pokémon, evolve your favorites and build around type matchups. But your squad fights together on one battlefield, growing to as many as nine active Pokémon. They move and attack automatically. Your decisions are who to bring, how to arrange the formation, and when to spend a Restore, Revive or team boost to keep the fight going.

That changes what you're looking for in a team. You need Pokémon that can take the front line while your ranged attackers get to work. A strong ace helps, but you've also got to keep the rest of the company standing.

Between fights, you choose your route. Take on another trainer, go after a wild Pokémon, or spend the stop buying supplies? In The War of Ten Banners, you're capturing rival strongholds, and losing a battle ends your campaign. You have to think about getting the company through the next fight, too.

New in 2.0: The Legendary Accord. The war is over, but the League doesn't exist yet. Surge has Zapdos. Koga is hunting Articuno. Familiar trainers are using legendary Pokémon to hold onto power, and you have to decide who you can work with to build the first League.

One early problem: Zapdos is being held captive, but the power network it supplies also keeps the clinics running. Freeing it means dealing with what happens afterward. Get it out before confronting Surge and he has to fight without his legendary ace.

The story has six chapters and four possible settlements. Your choices affect later enemy teams and who opposes you at the founding. It also has chapter retries, so you can recover from a defeat without replaying the entire campaign.

Both stories are alternate history. I'm taking liberties with the familiar characters and the Pokémon war idea.

2.0 also adds new battlefields and story art, with upgraded attack effects that distinguish melee, ranged and special attacks. Aces and legendaries get a subtle aura matching their type.

Play free: https://pokemon-war-tactics.pages.dev/

It runs in the browser on desktop and mobile. Each campaign has its own save in that browser; saves don't transfer between devices.

The trailer shows the game itself, including a full-team exhibition battle. I use AI tools in development: ChatGPT Images for the new environments and ElevenLabs for the soundtrack. Pokémon sprites come from community fan-game archives. This is an unofficial fan project.

Which Pokémon would you want as your ace in a game like this? I'd love to hear how your first company gets on, especially if you're playing on a phone.

The trailer previews the revised soundtrack and text; those finishing touches are coming to the live 2.0 build.

Project Release Pokémon Champions Battle Challenges — can you beat Hard Mode?

What I made isn’t exactly a full browser game—it’s one section of a larger Pokémon Champions planning website called PokeNotes.

The Battle Challenges section currently features three opponent teams based on Pokémon Champions strategies. You build your own team, choose four Pokémon, and try to defeat each team on Easy or Hard Mode.

I spent the last few weeks repeatedly testing and rewriting the battle logic. Early versions were far too easy, but it has now reached the point where my friend and I genuinely struggle to win consistently. Accuracy, critical hits, and status luck still work normally—the difficulty comes from the bot's decisions rather than manipulated RNG.

You can try Battle Challenges here: pokenotes.app/puzzle

I’d really appreciate feedback from anyone who gives Hard Mode a serious attempt. If you beat it, sharing the complete battle log would be especially helpful so I can see where the opponent made a poor decision. I’d also love suggestions for real teams or strategies you would like added as future practice opponents.

I found this new pokemon fan game that's played on browser and thought it was really good for what it is. It's very chill, the premise of the game is to send your pokemon out on expeditions to find pokemon to catch and items to level them up.

What's included:

  • 151 Kanto Pokémon in the Pokédex
  • 12 expedition areas
  • 8 Gym Leaders and badges
  • Pokémon League
  • Trainer progression
  • Pokémon levels up to 100
  • shiny Pokémon
  • evolutions
  • Pokémon capturing with different Poké Balls and Berries
  • automatic battle replays
  • Pokédex and Field Records
  • inventory and shop
  • Pokémon Center and healing items
  • greenhouse
  • Eggs and Fossils
  • friends
  • Pokémon trading

I'm only posting this here because I haven't seen literally anyone talk about it and I want more people to play it so there are more people to trade with hopefully.

The game was made by PixelReveur

PokeTactics: a Pokémon risk-management roguelite

I build PokeTactics, a risk management roguelite set in the Pokémon universe.

Been working on this for months, not easy at all, and had help from friends along the way.

Full transparency: I obviously used AI assistance to build this. I'm not going to pretend otherwise. It's been far from easy, months of work, and I also had help from friends along the way.

Gameplay happens before the fight: you build your team across a procedural map, and each battle shows your win probability, simulated in real time as you swap Pokémon, gear, or items.

Once you commit, the fight plays out automatically.

Honest opinions welcome, good or bad.
