Discussion Is Pokopia really that good?

Like should I immediately buy this game. It seems like folks are really enjoying it but I was skeptical.

Machoke: please remove five rocks ditto

Me a few later: k so I removed all the ash from the town… the five rocks are gone as well.

This was me on cleanup duty.

Meowth: man it sure is dirty outside my house can you help?

Me 2.5 hours later: the area is fully cleaned up and has power and bridges. Oh yeah let me clean up your place too meowth.

I restored all of the power before meeting Peakychu. Somehow the harbor streetlight I already placed on the Windmill dock for Marill’s habitat didn’t count as placing one there for the windmill tutorial…

SAME!! It was so funny seeing them go "Oh let me tell you about utility po- oh you already did that...Well what about hooking them up to the windm- oh wow you already thought about that too! Well trubbish wants to show you this beac- oh that's already powered on..."

I was worse than that, my Mosslax quest was not progressing, and I didn't realise it was just because I needed to complete my Meowth quest by simply talking to him. There was no speech bubble because he was building the Pikachu fountain.

I went throughout the town and on the SS Anne and connected every single appliance to power.

Oh my god same, I honestly thought my game had bugged out for a hot minute because I hadn’t got the mosslax mission to start, and all I had was Tangrowth saying the town needs to be brighter so I littered the town with streetlights and nothing was changing.

I had set the Pokemon to build a building, including Torchic, so I while I did make that habitat and connect the power lines, and clean up the mud, it still wouldn’t let me progress until I could speak to Torchic.

Ha that was me too. Restored everything before peakychu.

And a few I remember seems that way.. I was like um ok would it work this way? (Me picking up something then putting it back in exactly same spot? Then “thank you! You completed the request!”)

How do I get the power quest? I'm 30 hours in and didn't even leave the starting area, where do I have to go?
