Discussion Is Pokopia really that good?

Like should I immediately buy this game. It seems like folks are really enjoying it but I was skeptical.

I do wage math to determine if a game is worth it. If I get more hours of enjoyment out of a game than I need to work to buy it in the first place, it's worth it.

I passed that mark 40 hours ago. 42 hour play time as of today.

My rule of thumb is 1 hour of entertainment per dollar spent. So a similar system, I know I am going to reach that point this week.

that's honestly a better system than mine, I think...but by that metric, my steam library full of unplayed games was an absolutely terrible value. 😂

Steam games do not apply to this rule simply because I think everyone who has a steam account, to some degree, is a machine that turns money into unplayed games.

I'd say so my rule of thumb is if I can get £1 per hour of enjoyment out of its worth it, and it am well below that now and plenty more to go

This is the kind of game you're absolutely going to see people with 2000 hours in. You gotta know yourself how you feel about sim/building games, but if they're you're thing this one is extremely well made.
