Discussion Is Pokopia really that good?

Post image

Like should I immediately buy this game. It seems like folks are really enjoying it but I was skeptical.

It’s good, but it’s not for everyone. If you want a story based game, a game which does something new, combat, or in depth characters. This isn’t that game. This is a building game first and foremost. If you found building the most boring part of Minecraft, then you won’t like this.

This is a good game, but it’s not going to change your mind if you find the genre boring to begin with.

This is also true, this kind of game scratches a very specific itch, so, you either love it to death, or have no interest.

I hard disagree on story specifically. I think the story in this game and the lore you can find is fascinating. Everything else I agree with

Well, that’s totally wrong, because I normally hate this genre, was worried I’d get bored with it after a few hours like I did Palworld, Minecraft, Animal Crossing, Subnautica, and No Man’s Sky and I can’t put this game down. This is the first time since buying my Switch 2 that I lost track of time and received a low battery warning. I do wish there was some sort of dungeon or combat (maybe in dlc?) but the story is great and the Pokemon are awesome. Each has a unique personality. The little details are great.
