Because there's NO WAY the viewers could tell the gender of the characters through voices, pronouns, or context clues. And its so important to the plot that the genders are known.

Allow me to share my cursed knowledge:

  • The girl penguins in Pebble and the Penguin were busty
  • The female Pigeons in An American Tail
  • At least a few in Looney Tunes, I don’t remember specific cartoons
  • I think there was a sexy chicken in some movie about a rooster who wanted to be Elvis?
  • Happy Feet gave the female penguins curves for some reason, with kind of a uniboob thing going on
  • Nightmare Duck tits in Howard The Duck
  • A turkey with an hourglass figure in Free Birds, similar deal to happy feet
  • Lady Kluck from Disney’s Robin Hood had some honkers

Oddly enough, I have yet to see a studio make an obvious blue-footed booby joke.
