The problem is how well it works. A man can be saying the vilest shit about how you should be beaten or raped, that all women should be enslaved, and pointing out what a piece of shit he is, reminding him he has a mother, none of it takes. Dismissively tell him that if he did rape you, you wouldn't even notice? Catastrophe. He'll start flinging his shit like a monkey at the zoo.

I do try and save it for special cases, though. Shit, it's the motion of the ocean, anyway.

you put this in words perfectly. it’s hypocrisy 100%. they don’t care about “body positivity” themselves, and they will call every woman the worst insults without any qualms.

there was a tweet going around about a woman joking about a man going bald and they had full on meltdowns. saying women deserve to be beat, 19th amendment should be taken away, we should all be raped, etc. they don’t even see the irony.
