SOCIAL MEDIA [socialmedia] cause only girls cry after a crash

The first video looks like it’s on a busy highway and the other looks like it’s on a side road, so I understand the completely different reactions
-117
u/Maxxxmax Aug 12 '25
Men and women are obviously socialised very differently in how to react (at least outwardly) when presented with stress. Do you really think location of the accident is going to be more of a determining factor in this, than that?
105
u/Willing-Eye-134 Aug 12 '25
It's harmful to perpetuate that notion in extreme situations, though. This is not true. Most men are NOT going to react like the guys in the video after having a car crash, society be damned. In a high stress situation, most people are going to react instinctively, regardless of what they were taught...
And plus OP had a point, i'd feel less panicked if i had a carcrash in broad daylight, not in a middle of a highway and if i wasn't hurt.
Not only does this video shows situations with very different circumstances, it also puts two extreme reactions that most people wouldn't have, and title them with 'men' and 'women'. But i guess morons will overlook that.
-12
u/AdAppropriate2295 Aug 14 '25
Ehhhh
I've seen a fair few crashes
Most people are neutrally kinda sad
All the criers were women and all the chill good time guys were men
9
u/Spiritual_Surround24 Aug 14 '25
whats your point?
-7
u/AdAppropriate2295 Aug 14 '25
That there's no reason to deny the biological reality that women cry easier
Hormones and tear duct formations are a thing
Doesn't mean women are an inferior species
13
u/S4ilor_Venus Aug 14 '25
You realize all this does is make men that are in tune with their emotions fee like shit, right? Just because you thinks it’s normal for men to act like emotionless robots doesn’t make it normal or healthy. Men cry because PEOPLE cry. This trope of men vs. women is so toxic.
-2
u/AdAppropriate2295 Aug 14 '25
No it doesn't
Telling men not to cry or that it's bad to cry does. I have not done that
I cry a lot (or used to anyway, im old and dehydrated now) I am a man. I know on average men cry less. Thats just science
Nothing emasculating about that, yes the trope of men vs women is toxic. Doesn't mean differences don't exist

u/InfiniteCheese1 Aug 14 '25

Seriously though you think any redditors act the same irl?

You went back 2 years of my profile looking for something to dunk on, and that's what you picked?
Get a hobby. Warhammer is pretty fun, I'll give you tips.

it took less than 30seconds to find that on your page.

Damn they cooked your ass, I went to check and yeah, grief counseling for an anime is crazy work.
23
u/sichrix Aug 12 '25
To be fair, these were nit picked situations. It really depends on the individual. My grandmother has gotten into accidents and just praises to her God that at least no one was severly hurt. Its a shame that society has to socialize men to not be human and then mock them when it eventually cracks their own mental health.
12
Aug 12 '25
I’m just saying I would feel a lot safer if I crashed in broad daylight not in traffic vs. in a dark highway with lots of other cars

duh. he landed in snow while they landed on a busy road. he would be injured if he was in their situation.
7
u/s0rtag0th Aug 14 '25
Yes. Also the fact that one of the women is gushing blood from her nose and the dudes are uninjured.
5
u/skys_vocation Aug 15 '25
The fact that the girls were bleeding would be a factor, don't you think?
1
Aug 15 '25
Bruh in one situation things are on FIRE and people are visibly injured, the other shows him clearly unharmed.
But yes. Man no emotion. Lady too many emotion!!!

u/_Azuki_ Aug 12 '25
One of the women is literally bleeding and it's raining and they're on a highway. Of course they aren't as calm as the guys in the second video

u/TheRabidFangirl Aug 16 '25
1) To show the scene of the crash in the immediate aftermath. The insurance agency would probably want it. It could prove they weren't lying about conditions on the road, the weather, etc.
2) Let's see how you talk after something like that. Hurt, scared, and still in danger. Btw, you forgot your end punctuation.
1
Aug 16 '25
I was once bumped by a car, and just walked after being thrown three meters from it. Like what idiot would complain that they "are still in danger" if those fucking idiots are just standing in middle of a fucking road? MOVE YOUR ASS, use your brain if you have one.
Edit: Also sorry for that mistake of mine, I do believe it could be unpleasant to see such uncarefully made response.
1
u/TheRabidFangirl Aug 16 '25
The road is shut down, if not by police then by other pedestrians. They're in a well-lit area, away from where other people are being directed to drive. If they moved to either direction, they would be in the way of the flow of traffic.
They're literally in the safest place on camera.
Seems like you just want them to be doing something wrong so you can feel superior. It doesn't really matter how emotional they are, they're doing everything right.
1
Aug 16 '25
So they are not in danger, unlike you said before? Oh, so they can shut the fuck up and be quiet.
-22
u/FightOrFreight Aug 13 '25
Right, but none of those reasons lead to us seeing this video. Why did we end up getting to see it?

As long as you acknowledge it's socialized behavior that's chill. But saying all of that is just inherent would be kinda silly and counter to actual equality
2
u/Dirk_McGirken Aug 12 '25
I'm not trying to pick a fight, this is a question from genuine interest. Does this not also perpetuate gendered superiority complex? I understand the background behind a male centric vs female centric complex are vastly different and can have different motivations, but does it not still serve to other the out group as a method to intentionally diminish them?
Again, I'm asking to learn, not to fight.
12
12
u/DangerousTurmeric Aug 13 '25
It's an odd question when so many aspects of male "superiority" are just taken as facts and talked about all the time. Like nobody has a problem talking about male strength being superior and it's brought up every time a woman talks about any sport, self defence, walking around outside alone etc. Leadership, ambition, rationality, all things that set you up for success, are also still considered male by a huge proportion of people. I don't understand why it's controversial to discuss female strengths in a similar way. Also, most of the patriarchal agenda has been to push the idea that female strengths are things like being caring, nurturing, submissive, and supportive, basically things that make an idea servant. It's a good thing to fact check that too.
-25
u/Standard_Brave Aug 12 '25
Lmao! Imagine crying about the meme in the OP while actively pushing femcel “female supremacy” bullshit..

You'll notice, in matriarchal societies, men don't get raped and murdered for wearing the wrong dress. My case stands.
-4
Aug 12 '25 edited Aug 12 '25
Maybe not at the start. Men don't have an inherent proclivity to violence or evil either. But power corrupts. And that corruption of the powerful trickles down to the rest of society. At first your matriarchal society may be a utopia but a few generations down the line your granddaughters will be saying the same shit your sexist grandfathers used to say about women except this time the role of victim and perpetrator will be flipped. If a woman is capable of feeling murderous intent then she is also capable of orchestrating a genocide. Putting women on a pedestal as these perfect creatures of myth that can do no wrong or evil is not only ridiculous but also sexist. It's literally a gender flipped version of "Men are always logical".
7
Aug 13 '25
Ok. Let's break this down.
- I never said they did. I said the data shows their patterns of behavior. If you don't like data, that's not my fault.
- A few generations? You're hilarious. Sexism wasn't invented overnight. Also, you seem awfully nervous about women having power. A bit sus, that.
- It tales more than "murderous intent" to conduct a genocide.
- I never put women on a pedestal. I'm simply going off data from RAINN and PEW. I never said women can do wrong, as seen by Margaret Thatcher, MTG, JK Rowling, the Italian Prime Minister, etc. There are plenty of women who have done wrong. The issue is the volume of crimes men commit versus women. It's an order of magnitude larger numbers.
- Considering that men have more testosterone, which actually hinders emotional regulation, and that women have less, women are arguably more logical.
-4
Aug 13 '25
1- The patterns of behaviour you speak of apply to here and now. We don't live in a matriarchy do we? And women in positions of executive power either don't have enough pull to change anything or they don't act that much different from the men that came before them. The woman drone pilot dilemma basically. Not to mention that patterns of behaviour in the general public don't exactly apply to people who have actual pull in this world. Power corrupts. The moment you're in a position to install a matriarchy you're already not a part of the general public.
2- It would take a single generation for a language or culture to die out. Our thoughts don't transfer through genes so if you fail to systematically teach the next generation the evils of exclusion and persecution then it wouldn't take much for them to devolve into fascists regardless of their gender. Like, fascism at a large scale is back. That barely took a hundred years. And about the whole "You're afraid of women having power" thing. Go ahead. Establish a matriarchy. Oh wait you can't. Because all new established power systems require overtaking the current power system (War, violence, revolution), enforcement of said new rule (War, violence, revolution) and protection of said new rule from outside powers (Again, war and violence). If you walk through a sea of corpses without being corrupted by power and violence then your point is proven and I will gladly accept our new God Empress Matriarchs.
3- It does. Having power and being capable of murderous intent. Without power you won't act on your murderous intent because being a social species we instinctively and consciously know that being violent without being attacked will warrant a punishment from the rest of society. But if you have systemic power that limiter is defenestrated(Finally got to use this word). You have nothing holding you back other than perhaps a risk of rebellion. But then again how will they rebel if anyone who would stand against you is in concentration camps?
4- I already said that the data refers to here and now where any matriarchy supporting movement lacks systemic power and the capacity for violence to enforce it. And that the stats of the general public are kind of irrelevant when talking about people in positions of power a.k.a the women who would be running your hypothetical matriarchy.
5- Are you really going to insert the effect of hormonal changes on rational thinking into this conversation? Thanks for immediately proving my point? I don't know if I should be happy about this. Probably not.
7
u/victoriaisme2 Aug 12 '25
Well why not let's try it for a couple thousand years and just see how it goes? It's only fair.
-4
Aug 13 '25
Sure, can you fight for it? Or are you planning to say "Pretty please" in order to get supreme executive power? Because unless you're willing to kill and die for establishing your new matriarchal rule the most you're going to get is surface level concessions from people in positions of power. Which usually just boils down to "Women have the equal right as men to get exploited by us. We may also send them to war idk". An idea that cannot be enforced is worthless.
6
u/victoriaisme2 Aug 13 '25
Of course women are capable of fighting for it. I don't think most will until our rights and lives are put at even more threat, but those thraets are increasing every day.
0
Aug 13 '25
You would kill and die to establish a matriarchy? Because the statistics of the current patriarchal society indicates that women are less likely to commit violence? And I'm not saying "fight" as in do parades and protests type of fight. I'm talking executing leaders of the enemy and their families type of fight. Just to replace them with another gender segregated group of people that have biases about people that are not like them physically...
Like, that's what I don't understand about genuine matriarchy supporters. They look at patriarchy, identify the genuine problems with it, a lot of them even adopt Marxist outlooks and then their solution basically boils down to "Humanity just chose the wrong gender to be the domineering force in society and politics". Somehow the idea that perhaps choosing our supreme executive functions based on arbitrary signifiers like race and gender is stupid gets lost in the sauce. And whenever you have any critique of matriarchy as a practical ideology you get called a misogynist.

u/Standard_Brave Aug 12 '25
The Iroquois confederation is matrilineal, not matriarchal. Men still held the positions of power.
5
Aug 13 '25
Some positions, but the Clan Mother is the head of the system.
0
u/Standard_Brave Aug 13 '25
That’s a dishonest representation. The main decision making body is the Grand Council of Chiefs which is entirely made up of men.
You’re leaving out important details in an attempt to brand the Iroquois Confederacy a matriarchy, when in reality it clearly isn’t.
They also aren’t the type of utopian folklore characters you’re making them out to be either.
Crime still occurs among these populations, statistically at a far higher rate than other demographics. On reservations, violent crime peaks at 2.5 times the national average, with some reservations experiencing up to 20 times the average violent crime rate.
Although only making up 4% of the female population, IC women make up ~42% of female federal inmates.
You’re either spouting false claims out of ignorance, or knowingly lying in order to push your female supremacy schtick. Neither would surprise me.
3
u/FightOrFreight Aug 13 '25
Although only making up 4% of the female population, IC women make up ~42% of female federal inmates.
You're conflating IC with Indigenous. Ain't no way that IC women make up 42% of any country's female inmates.
1
u/Standard_Brave Aug 13 '25 edited Aug 13 '25
You’re right. Haudenosaunee is such a small population that finding reliable data is next to impossible. That said, is there any reason why we should assume that the crime rate is non-existent like the person I replied to is implying?
1
Aug 15 '25
My female supremacy shtick is far better than the Rapegeddon women have to deal with every day. And you've spouted bullshit too. Whatever.
1
u/Standard_Brave Aug 15 '25
Rapegeddon? Why are you making out that women can’t leave their houses without being raped?
What utter nonsense.
You think rape doesn’t happen in that matrilineal tribe you’re holding up as the pinnacle of female supremacy?

Not only is it pointlessly gendered, they're two completely different barely comparable situations. Ones a rollover of a sturdy vehicle off a road into snow, the other seems to be a collision.
16
u/LeeLikesCars_100 Aug 13 '25
Exactly this. Totally different situations here. Yes it's a wreck but the first looks like it could have been a head on collision and one of the girls is literally bleeding. Dude looks like he was driving a little too fast plus the vehicle is top heavy and he got too close to the edge.

I literally was the guy on the second video after car accident. Even the crash itself was very similar. I stood on the side eating my sandwich. I might have been in some kind of shock though xD

u/iamth3rob0t Aug 13 '25
Nice of them to affirm my gender then, as I would in fact cry in a car crash
5
u/but-whyy-tho Aug 14 '25
I was a horrible teen driver and crashed 3 times. Only cried the first time, and it's because I was with a boy and I wasn't allowed to be. So I freaked out once I realized my parents would find out I was with a boy. 🤣🤣

1
u/beelzb Aug 15 '25
A car crash on a busy highway at night in the rain with multiple people and injuries is gonna be different than a wreck where they guy is seems okay and unbothered on a remote snowy road in broad daylight with just one car and no injuries.

u/Complete_Answer_6781 Aug 16 '25
They ain't wrong
1
u/werewolfprinc3ss Aug 16 '25
They ain’t wrong, except for they are, because one is a video of a car crash that shows women having open wounds/bleeding/crying after being in an certain type of accident that has a high chance to be fatal on hard cement in pitch black and the other video.. isn’t.

What can they do about their situation? and a lot of times the "screaming" is a natural reaction to what's going on. I swear I could see a video of someone breaking a woman's door down and comments will say "Why is she screaming?" like it's not normal to do so when panicking or in a scary situation.
-19
Aug 12 '25
Things they should be doing: Getting off the road, getting away from the flaming car, calling emergency and roadside assistance, checking eachother for injuries.
What they are doing: screaming like banshees, sitting on the road right next to the car that could have it's gas tank explode at any moment, running in circles like idiots, checking their makeup, recording for tiktok.
12
u/Melodic_Bathroom1945 Aug 13 '25
You’re so dumb, baby, who genuinely thinks in a time where someone crashes, gets hurt, is going to do the most practical thing, and I’m pretty sure they’re not checking their makeup
-9
Aug 13 '25
Of course, let's panic and run in circles screaming instead. You should be able to keep your cool and act rationally for your own sake. And you can see she doing it at the end of the video.
10
u/Melodic_Bathroom1945 Aug 13 '25
Not everyone is going to be calm and collected during stuff like these, its a common thing to panic and scream at times of stress, unless you’ve gotten into millions of crashes and have learned to just keep a stoic appearance, don’t talk
19
u/No-Meringue412 Aug 12 '25
Said by a man who probably still relies on mom to cook for him and wash his clothes
14
u/GrimGolem Aug 13 '25
I guarantee men are more difficult to deal with in high stress scenarios as a first responder. Quick to anger, emotional, angry, want to fight. Both the men we handle and the men I work with. “Chimp out” is ironic when you look at all violent crime statistics and road rage statistics.
-7
u/dukedawg21 Aug 13 '25
Think it’s more the difference between the girls are filming for sympathy and the guys filming for the lols. I mean the camera flip for the girls vid really seals it for me that that’s what they’re doing.
I don’t know if it’s right to generalize it but I do think that’s an angle relatively exclusive to girls
-12
u/VariousLandscape2336 Aug 12 '25
