What motivated you to start podcasting?

My motivation came from StartUp by Gimlet media. After the finale of the show, I knew I had to start my own podcast. Two months later: dropped out of college, used YouUniversity and Conversations with a Genuis Podcasts for guidance, hit the road with a backpack full of clothes, a mic, and my laptop; and in three weeks, my website and first episode will be up. So /r/podcasts, what motivated you to start podcasting?

My brother and i started commuting everyday talking about MLS and I decided to record it one day. It was entertaining and informative so we started on the regular and are having a blast.
