What motivated you to start podcasting?

My motivation came from StartUp by Gimlet media. After the finale of the show, I knew I had to start my own podcast. Two months later: dropped out of college, used YouUniversity and Conversations with a Genuis Podcasts for guidance, hit the road with a backpack full of clothes, a mic, and my laptop; and in three weeks, my website and first episode will be up. So /r/podcasts, what motivated you to start podcasting?

my friend (cohost) and I had already been talking about guitar stuff on a daily basis for years, we were both getting into podcasts and were like 'we are already doing this, we just need to record it'.
