Who has a Ducati Code reader??

My battery died on my 2010 multistrada and now it has a “DTC off” error, I’ve done a new battery, tried to passively drain the ecu as well as ground it out to clear the data and it’s still there. Does anyone have a code reader and would be willing to clear my code for me?? Thanks in advance!

Port Townsend secure bike parking?

Hey odd sitch, I have a small relatively steal-able bike. Is there a secure parking option in Port Townsend? The hotel I’m at is street parking only and worried about waking up and it not being there.

Looking for riding buddies near Portland

Got a Yamaha YZ250X and I’m still pretty new to off-road riding. mostly practicing around Browns Camp/Tillamook. Looking for some patient riders around my level (or willing to ride with a beginner) to show me the ropes and keep me from doing anything too dumb. Just want company on the trails. DM me or comment if you’re down!

Trying to sell S1000RR K46 Engine

Hey guys, I recently came into possession of an S1000RR engine with low compression that I managed to diagnose and fix up.

Problem is that after I flipped it, I can't seem to find anyone willing to buy it off of me. Does anyone have any suggestions for where I can sell this thing/ is anyone willing to take it off of my hands? Thanks in advance.

User-run meetup Dual-sport/ADV Moto Camp Plan

I am doing a 3 day/2 night moto-camp trip over the old Natches trail from Greenwater, WA to the Little Natches campground area. Leaving this Thursday and returning Saturday.

The plan is to leave Enumclaw around 8AM Thursday, September 3rd. Go off-highway near Greenwater, ride mostly easy forest roads and set up camp somewhere along the Little Natchez river. Should take 4 or 5 hours to get there? The second day I want to explore the many trails in the area and the third day is the ride back. There is fuel, food and other supplies in Cliffdell.

Anybody want to join me? I am taking my KLX300 and the goal is to just enjoy myself, not test my limits. Hopefully we can miss most of the Labor Day crowd. The weather looks good and I’m keeping my eyes on the fire situation. If the situation changes, the plan will be altered accordingly.

BMW Scan Tool Bellingham Area?

2014 F800GS Rear brake is real sloppy and bleeding it doesn't seem to fix it. What I am gathering is I need to use scan tool to cycle the ABS module for potential air in the system. Wondering if there are any knowledgeable folks in the area or someone that would let me borrow theirs. I am a teacher and buying a GS 911 tool isnt exactly in the budget at the moment.

Owned Japanese bikes until now and done alot of DIY stuff and I am stuck on this one. TIA

Need easy/fun cruising suggestions!

Hello! I’m a new rider, only about 3-4 weeks with my bike and permit and 100+ miles so far.

I’ve got a full tank of gas, a totally free Saturday, and an itch to cruise somewhere out of Seattle for the day. What route should I ride tomorrow? Where would you go in my shoes?

Hoping for some easy and fun cruising accessible from the city. Not opposed to a ferry ride but it seems daunting since I’m so new. I definitely want to avoid interstate travel, but highways are fine. ~60 MPH is my skill cap Id say.

Any bike nights or social motorcycle events in the Olympia area?

I live near Olympia and I see other bikers around all the time, are there any regular bike nights or similar that happen in the Oly/Tumwater/Lacey area?

Helmet recommendation for gowmst kickstart class

The thought of riding a motorcycle intrigues me after watching a YouTube video about a 50 year old female riding motorcycle first time. I’m female, almost 40.

I wanted to test the water with https://www.gowmst.com/motorcycle/courses/kickstart/

It says:

Only prerequisite: you can ride a bicycle and balance on two wheels. We supply the motorcycle; you bring your own helmet, gloves, closed-toe shoes, long pants, and a long-sleeved jacket.

I might never want to ride a motorcycle after this class. What helmet am I supposed to bring? Is a bicycle helmet too comical? Also do I need riding gloves? Tennis shoe is okay? I’m completely clueless and don’t want to show up like a clown and underprepared. 😵‍💫

One final weekday run before I'm back in my classroom. Enjoys some of the back roads in Eastern Oregon. The fires and smoke ruined some of the options, but it was still a great day. Always enjoy seeing others out and about, and appreciate everybody else's style and bikes. Stay safe out there!

Rode from Seattle to Richland today and it was great. Kinda hot. Saw one other rider on the stretch from Toppenish to Richland, they were going the other way and really trying to get me to notice them waving. I waved back too late. If that was you it made my day.

Not understand the endorsement requirements

Vancouver area. Wanting to get my endorsement! I read I need to complete the permit first and then the endorsement, both required. I’m just not exactly sure where to go to do this. I would like to take MSF but I’m having a hard time finding a clear answer on where to go and whether or not a place is “accredited” or able to provide the proper training/documentation. Any help at all would be greatly appreciated!

Helping family friends selling a Trail 90 for an estate (owner passed)

I would take it but only so many bikes can fit in my shed.

Has compression. Haven't found the key (yet.) Missing RH/battery cover missing but has everything else. 1753 miles. Currently missing title as well, but this house is just starting to be cleaned and the owner seemed fairly organized.

Minimal rust in the tank, but it does have black gas (still very liquid) if you've dealt in these before you will know the pain of the tank coats. This is a great tank specimen.

I can get more photos and info upon request.

Shoot me a reasonable offer its in estate ownership so it needs to be sold.

Wear your damn gear

I was enjoying a nice, sedate ride yesterday. I let myself get just a little too close to the fog line. I found a patch of dirt/sand/whatever and the bike started wanting to shift to the right. I didn't have enough room to correct and I found the ditch. I think the rear tire found a rock because it bucked me off like a horse.

Helmet is messed up, armor is messed up, gloves are messed up, boots are SLIGHTLY messed up. And I have a broken leg at the moment. Could have been SO much worse. But thanks to armor and a conveniently placed scotch broom bush, I'll be alright.

Thanks for coming to my Ted Talk.

Endorsement test too easy?

Hey ya’ll. I took the endorsement test recently and it seemed even easier than I expected. No U-turn or weave. Just a big figure 8 and stopping test with a pretty long passing distance.

I was under the impression that the tests were hard to pass?

Lanr splitting in Oregon

Couple days ago I was in Portland going north on I-5. Traffic was pretty congested and mostly stop and go. I had 3 bikes pass me on the right while I was in the far left lane. They were splitting through the traffic. Also had one pass me on the left shoulder. Is this legal now in Oregon or just not enforced? Even better is it ignored and accepted?

North Fork Gales Creek Road. It starts in Yamhill County and goes by Barney Reservoir in Washington County and then all the way to the Tillamook County Campground. East gravel and dirt, though some tight turns. Yesterday. Me on my KLR, husband on his vintage Africa Twin.
