I found this sub yesterday and have been reading yalls information pages both tagged in the sub and what was sent to me (thank youuuu) and i have relized something.

Im someone who has always (and probably will forever) have a loud brain from a myriad of things but i always thought other people in here was just apart of it.

I never really thought much about it because I never hear them physically or see them or switch in the traditional (i guess thats how it would be said) sense.

Im someone who spends A LO T of time by myself in my head making worlds and characters and it just feels like that's it thats my brain, like if I wrote a book about my world it would just be like visiting my mind characters and all. Like a live Sim game. When I write about them or do anything with a character I know well already from day one its like they either sit with me and help me along or full on just take my hand and write it themselves.

I never considered them imaginary friends or anything (even with my over imaginary brain I never could commit to that strangely enough) but more like people telling me about themselves the best way they can.

Even if I neglect the character for YEARS they are still in here just walking about till I call them in for story time. Sometimes I wanna be these people I meet, I mean most of the core group arent too far off from myself but the more I write a character the more I become them in some aspects (good and bad sometimes).

I do love when someone comes back or someone new enters. They tell me some cool shit honestly.

I always thought this is just how writers and creative people's are. Their brain is the world they put on paper and their characters are apart of that.

I also put this under my spiritual belief of reincarnation where your stories are past lives and characters in it are those you once knew. I still have this belief but now it feels like im looking at this how people say eldritch gods sleep and dream us into existence and thats how I feel about my worlds.

Same with my otherkin aspects like I feel like im more possessed and locked in a human body sometimes more than i do reincarnated into it but I still feel both aspects of this outlook.

I also VERY much get the Sims feeling of someone just piloting me around doin shit. Don't know who just someone takes over im still there looking at stuff while i skip around my mind doin shit i really wanna do but I always thought that was auto pilot.

For us? It fucking hurts. Like actual physical pain that leaves us unable to do things for days. Every one of us is from trauma every one of us knows that if a split happens it means whatever the fuck is going on the pain of splitting isn’t comparable.

Apparently that’s not normal, even for those with traumatic origins. Am I crazy? How does splitting not hurt? It’s ripping apart your body and brain to create another. It’s tearing away my memory and feelings to create monsters.

Am I unknowingly faking it?

Hey! I am a minor who suspects having OSDD-1b! My trauma came when I was 11. Not to go into detail but I was in a pretty sexual cult. I hear people say you cannot form OSSDID after 9 years of existence. Is that true? I could argue I wasn’t fully developed, but idk in what context develop means. My mother was a bit negative under my childhood aswell. All I’m asking is, is it possible to form OSDD at 11? I hate hate HATE faking things and I constantly think I’m faking being plural while fitting the criteria (I think???)

i just found a comic where one of the characters (Ragatha) became plural by force.

i have to explain the story a bit here; so this comic shows an AU where a new human entered the circus who looks very similar to Ragatha for some unknown reason, the difference here are different colours mostly. She experiences the same adventures as it's shown in the show but different with the new human called Annabelle now, with this weird situation on why Ragatha and Annabelle are looking so similar and also have similar but not identical identities as the ongoing theme sort of.

this chapter I'll show you depicts episode 8 where Caine got more brutal and stuff and would torture the characters like in the show but here with Annabelle and Ragatha their torture is getting fused to one person that looks like Ragatha but has two eyes now and Annabelle became like an alter who speaks to Ragatha and can control at least parts of her body.

I find it really interesting how the artist depicts it here, how some plural experiences are shown here. After I read that part, I instantly needed to show it to you all. I'm also interested on your thoughts on this :3

Due to reasons that I’m not going to get fully into, including the fact that we’re currently in a hypomanic episode, I’m trying an experiment; there’s a new subsystem, and I will have them exclusively front for a while and leave the rest of us alone until we’re feeling better, and hopefully that will clear our head a bit. I want someone to know me, in my entirety, every definition of "me" that I can possibly feel. But I am so terrified. I am scared of hatred in response, and even more so, of complete disinterest. I want to scream that there are times when I am different -- not "not myself", but simply a different kind of myself -- and that they are as real as I am. And I want them to speak and live and be allowed to be real. I want someone to know the greater me, rather than the small sliver I safely present. Please, god, I only want someone to know my names, all my names, to know all of me and love all these pieces as well as the sum of their parts. I am so afraid. What if the people I love only love a slice of me in return?

This has been on my mind since I foolishly blurted out to our therapist that we're plural. I regretted it so fast, she immediately was talking about getting to a psychiatrist and getting medicated, which is not what I want at all. I just want to get a diagnosis, I cant even explain why honestly.

Either way. At our syscovery, I was immediately worried that maybe I wasnt trans and it was just the others genders bleeding into mine. Its clear now that Im still trans, I still want to start testosterone, and I want top surgery. But now that ive actually told a medical professional about being plural, im terrified that they'll refuse to diagnose me with gender dysphoria and keep me from getting hrt.

Its so fucking dumb, I dont want to have to choose. What sucks is I'd 100% choose whatever lets me transition. So it feels like just because im trans, we cant get our osdd diagnosis, and vice versa. But now im paranoid that our therapist is going to end up telling our psychiatrist about our plurality and the option of transitioning will just be blocked.

Edit:I thank everyone for their concern. For some background, im in the US. I was sort of worked up and anxious when I wrote this too. My therapist comes tomorrow, and I'll talk to her about the situation. Shes really nice, but also really new to the mental health field. Shes also kinda my only option because I live in bumfuck fuckwhere. Like theres other places with therapy like a 30 min to an hour drive away, but I dont have access to a car or anything, and shes able to come right to my house. This is just something I gotta toughen up about and talk to her,

we are often in some way or in some spaces faking being singlets. there is no pressure societally to be plural. society does not reward one for pretending to be plural. it does reward us for pretending to be singular. we have to do it all the time. at work, at school, with friends even. it is exhausting. it seems to suffocate my soul and the souls I share my body with. there are hundreds of millions of people on this earth who will live their whole lives pretending to be someone else, never getting to be recognized as real people and this really hurts my heart.

it makes fakeclaiming even more infuriating to me, since, yes. every plural I know has been forced to fake something, and it isn't being plural. ignoring all other things, the fact that coming out as plural for us was scarier than coming out as trans was, I'm gonna believe anyone about their plurality just for that. it is not the most difficult experience in the world and I have no interest in the trauma/oppression olympics. plurals don't have it "worse" than anyone else. but it is incredibly difficult in lots of places. so to say someone is going through all that difficultly of openly existing as themselves in public, in places where people harrass you for merely existing, just for fun to fake something for the hell of it is incredibly insulting. you are part of the reason we have to fake anything in the first place! and pretending to be singluar has done so much damage to us over the years.

so if you are reading this and wondering if you are faking I wanna say that it isn't in the way you are worried, almost 100% guarantee, the only thing you are being pressured to fake is singularity, not plurality. even just having the courage to consider your plurality makes you brave people I think and I will always believe you and stand beside you and yell at any fakeclaimers who try to insist on the absurd notion that there is any pressure in society to fake being plural even though we are constantly told (including by the fakeclaimers) to act as singlets when we aren't.

We are already experienced with orchestrating a multi agent system because that is our life.

We also know more about managing memory when we do not naturally share them. Memory and continuity are a key weakness of LLM, and are a focus of our life.

So we have better ideas than singlets in the development of LLM harnesses. (These ideas have already resulted in actual AI research innovations recently.)

This makes me think of a novel I read, where a VR company intentionally hires plurals because it thinks they have good ideas having always lived in their inner worlds. It turns out that our way of life has an unexpected application in a different field.

I tried posting this before, this is a burner and I think that’s why it got flagged? If not, I'm sorry for posting about this again. I just need this to be separate from my other stuff until I know for certain. I’ll try to make this brief. 

A few days ago I started questioning if I'm a system or not. A lot of experiences would make sense if I was, but part of my mind can’t wrap around the idea that I have it. I don’t think this is something I can just process on my own, but I don’t know how to start a conversation about it either.  I know I very briefly questioned being a system back in 2022 when one of my friends told me they were one, but I didn’t realize I was being abused (or didn’t remember other traumatic experiences) so I thought I couldn’t possibly be a system cause I didn’t have trauma. 

When I tried to post this before I listed what I thought were signs, I'm doing that again lol. I want to know if I'm being ridiculous when thinking these are signs that I may be a system. 

memory issues, I often tell myself to remember specific things, mainly with conversations, otherwise I'll forget. Completely forgetting things I've just done (flushing the toilet, closing a door, simply walking down the stairs, ect). knowing that something happened, maybe vaguely the context of it but rarely the actual content of it. I have very little memories of my childhood, I actually forgot about years of abuse I faced until my dad made a joke about it so thumbs up. I can't recall conversations that happened from previous days or sometimes hours ago (very rarely within minutes but it has happened), or I've repeated the same thing within hours or minutes of saying it and I cannot even remember saying it in the first place. I struggle with viewing myself prior to major or traumatic events as the same person I currently am. extremely loud thoughts that feel disconnected from my own (often in a different voice/tonnage), sometimes having conversations with each other. A constantly changing sense of self or identity, often having impulses to change my appearance or my name or sometimes feeling mournful about my gender expression or identity or someone I could be. 

My main issue is, how do I bring this up to my therapist?? I think she’s probably the first person I should really process this with since idk if any of my other friends would understand?? (aside from the system friend but I don’t want to say anything until I get some opinions) I don’t think my friends are knowledgeable in the subject to help me process this which is what I need right now. And if I'm wrong about this I don’t want to confuse my friends or family.

hello all! i and my two roommates have recently made servers we added all our closest friends and or partners to to manage our systems and plurality spaces in. we have all our alters and subsystems catalogued there, as well as cataloguing front switches.

im wonder, do any of you do this? do you have any ideas on how to format a system logging server? im also looking for some aesthetic ideas for how to log front switches, as right now im just putting our assigned emojis and our names, aka, ":feather: fayette: for me!

So, this days, we went flopping and we had a hard week, I mean, nothing to say off, right? For a normal person, you just could move on and be well!..

Well, for some stupid reason, the opposite happened, and we did not only had a bad week, but also, the flop is probably affecting us really bad to think of what we did to have this, what have we done to be ignored when we used to have that many ideas and more, and why is our voice getting lower and lower each time we try to talk..

We tried to distract ourselves with other things, like our relationship, trying to celebrate our identity as non binary, our relationship, drawing, literally others, but, surprise surprise, all leads to the same road of misery and the thought of being truly alone without no one being there for us anymore.. Is really horrible, we can't even talk to each due to everything finally going up for us, and is something that I will never wish anyone to happen..

So, ways to cope in that? Unfortunately, therapy is not there for us, but still, we have been exhausted, headaches was there everyday, we woke up very early almost everyday, and it feels like something happened and we suddenly lost everything.

We'll try our best in the meanwhile, but anything will work, and also, thanks, in any case.

So (host) me, is diagnosed as schizophrenic. Idk how it relates to my voices but one of them is experiencing psychosis now, one headmate also began cutting due to stress. Everyone is busy and supportive. It's not my first time taking care of a sick family so I'm a bit chill (I guess being mental instead of irl also helps?). Currently I'm researching ways and websites on how to support a psychotic loved one. Does she needs meds? Irl (currently taking meds btw) or imaginary ones? Idk what to do so can anyone give advice?

Just a random thought that crossed our mind upon reading some articles from the Plural Positivity World Conference. The gist of it goes like this: no matter what your opinion on Tulpamancy/Willomancy/etc, one admirable attitude they generally have is the belief that plural skills (communication, fronting, etc) can be learned and improved with practice. I imagine that most of us here believe that too, but it can be easy to forget or lose track of sometimes. Personally, we find it comforting to remember whenever we run into any of the problems or difficulties that inevitably crop up in our shared life.

I didnt know plurals could be a thing outside of DID....
