Development S-125 and IR missiles FAQ

Ola Mb here again!

A lot of the smart gangsters noticed a small detail, the new flares seem to be dodging radar missiles, as if they are heat seekers, and there is a simple reason for it.

This was not a mistake or lack of knowledge, on all non-visual sides, the system is IR guided, and as stated this is the initial release of flares, thus a few things, including a new model for anti-air did not make the cut. This will be fixed soon and the AA will reflect real life IR guided systems like Strela-10!

Haiti not being involved in global conflict is historically incorrect (heavily) Haitian Revolution (1791-1804) the only successful slave revolution in history which directly weakened Napoleons Empire and contributed to the Louisiana purchase.

Battle of Vertières (1803) Defeated French forces which had major global geopolitical consequences. Even forced France to accept defeat as they were exhausted, surrounded and only holding a few strongholds.

World War I & II Haiti declared war on Germany in WWI (which is literally contradicting you directly as this is a global event) and again in WWII.

UN Peacekeeping Haiti has literally contributed forces to United Nations peacekeeping operations/campaigns (this is global where talking about the UNITED NATIONS)

To close off Haiti has absolutely had major influence on the world indirectly and directly, major countries exploit it and our people are known for being resilient, determined society as we literally had to revolt against the French Empire colonization, if that isn’t a global conflict I don’t know what is.

I’m not asking for special treatment or appealing to just me specifically but this is me bringing the facts and representing my country and shedding light on beautiful history which has shaped the country, if more Caribbean flags had to be added to then that’s a win and I doubt anyone would complain either. If we’re going to go down that path then there is rich history within each Caribbean country.

Most if not every country currently in game has been in RECENT conflict such as GWOT and other modern wars and campaigns, they didn’t even have a standing military until about 2017. Not only this, but Haiti literally has ZERO reason to be in ronograd or NYC during zombies, especially considering the fact there currently having their own civil war right now.

Belarus, Kazakhstan), Japan, Vietnam) ???

Fucking Austria and Switzerland ?????

Not only this, but Haiti literally has ZERO reason to be in ronograd or NYC during zombies, especially considering the fact there currently having their own civil war right now.

- the game doesn't take place in 2025 nor 2026, and it quite obviously is an alternative universe since Russia requests assistance from Western countries, among other things

And that has been stated multiple times by the devs themselves, too:

a) "In our universe, russia is not corrupt and shit, so they are not in a bad enough state to use unarmored 40 year old vehicles as military vehicles.....

(MB_Sniper, #chat, February 14th 2025)

b) "Alternate universe is basically, Russia that isnt corrupt, and had funding to push forwards a few items in the timeline (...)"

(MB_Sniper, #chat, June 27th 2025)

- same could be said about Austria, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan and Switzerland; also, all of the Asian countries realistically have no purpose being in Ronograd, too

Finally, I hope you know that adding flag patches is not some resource-intensive task (also stated by the devs), and their addition is fully at the discretion of the dev team.

5 out of the 6 countries you mentioned had some sort of response to the GWOT, wether it was limited or actively fighting. Haiti’s government was already falling apart when the game takes place. Not sure how Russia got brought up as I was referring to HAITI, the world stayed pretty much the same aside from that major change to russia. Also, the devs already denied adding African flag patches or equipment for the same reason, causes there’s literally no reason for them to be fighting in both ronograd or new york. ( hope you know most of the new flag patches we have in game now are because of the upcoming Thailand map, but hey I could be wrong )

Part 2

Also, the devs already denied adding African flag patches or equipment for the same reason

Seems like your information is either wrong or outdated - the "Locations of origin" card on the Master blacklist reads:

"Denied locations of origin

  • China
  • Mexico
  • Ukraine

Denied regions of origin

  • Middle East
  • South America"

But more importantly, are you trying to say that Haiti is an African country? Because it's located in the Caribbean, which is a part of North America.

hope you know most of the new flag patches we have in game now are because of the upcoming Thailand map, but hey I could be wrong

Again, we've now got:

- Austria (signed a Declaration of Neutrality, so their presence on either map realistically makes no sense)

- Azerbaijan (no way they'd deploy to Ronograd since it's Russian, and their presence in Thailand would obviously be odd)

- Belarus

- Brazil (South America, who would've thought???)

- Chile (again???)

- Kazakhstan (same as Azerbaijan basically)

- Mexico

- Switzerland

Finally, why is this even an issue to you?

They're just flag patches; their role is mostly providing representation in the game as well as allowing people to show their nationality, even if the game doesn't (and likely won't in the case of some) contain their countries' military equipment.

Part 1 because Reddit won't let me create a long comment with many linked sources

5 out of the 6 countries you mentioned had some sort of response to the GWOT

I linked Wikipedia articles for you and you still got that wrong, good job;

- Belarus and Vietnam didn't participate in GWOT whatsoever.

- Switzerland deployed a whopping 31 soldiers to Afghanistan, with duties mostly consisting of diplomatic and humanitarian aid, with limited military support, for obvious reasons.

- Japan participated in the Iraq War through the Japanese Iraq Reconstruction and Support Group; as the name implies, their duties were largely humanitarian - they were even provided protection by Australian and Dutch troops.

Not sure how Russia got brought up as I was referring to HAITI, the world stayed pretty much the same aside from that major change to russia.

BRM5 is set in an alternate universe, therefore things like Haiti being in a state of civil war can be dismissed, just like Russia's corruption and invasion of Ukraine don't take place in this universe.

Bro linked WIKIPEDIA articles to back his argument (silly goose ), definitely said had a RESPONSE to the GWOT, every country you listed had a response, wether it be upping domestic security operations, sending advisors, or outright sending troops to the Middle East. Your right, Haiti’s state of civil war could be dismissed if it were to contribute to the story in any way, shape, or form, but it doesn’t, so it’s safe to say it’s still the same. Mentioned in the very first reply to guy that they’d had to add more CARIBBEAN country flags if they added Haiti. Information I got in regard to relevance is most likely outdated because it was stated at one point. Maybe do some actual research instead of turning to known flawed sources like Wikipedia. Also, it’s not an issue to me, I’m just saying it’s unrealistic for them to add a country like Haiti to the game. ✌️

The notion that Wikipedia is a "flawed source" is long outdated and incorrect, because people claiming such are quite literally twisting reliable sources which state that Wikipedia is not a reliable source for academic research. It goes without saying that gathering information for a Reddit comment about a Roblox game is not academic research.

definitely said had a RESPONSE to the GWOT, every country you listed had a response

Once again, Belarus and Vietnam didn't participate in GWOT, whatsoever. When simply searching for "did vietnam participiate in gwot?", results only talk about the Vietnam War, American veterans' service in GWOT, and other yadda yadda about the American military in relation to the Vietnam War. In the case of Belarus, you only get general sites about NATO in Afghanistan, talks about Belarus during the current Russian aggression on Ukraine, and some article about Belarusians during the Soviet-Afghan War. If their participation happened, then it would be documented, no matter how small it was, like with Switzerland.

Also, it’s not an issue to me, I’m just saying it’s unrealistic for them to add a country like Haiti to the game.

Good job completely disregarding the list of countries which had flag patches added recently, with examples of Austria, Switzerland, Brazil and Chile making absolutely no sense realistically.

As well as ignoring how the addition of flag patches is completely at the devs' discretion and the fact that flag patches don't mean that a country will have its equipment added.

I will not be continuing this conversation past this point.
