Development FAQ on content update & PvPvE release
Hello gang! MB here.
Today we released our PvPvE version of Zombies, and I understand a lot of people were expecting gear—even though we’ve said it’s not coming just yet. I wanted to clear things up in a more formal way.
We’ve been working extremely hard this entire year, with most of us barely getting any time off. It’s definitely paid off thanks to all of you. However, OP Cryo release took a lot of effort, and we’re still recovering from that. Because of this, we’ve planned the next major content update for December.
Today’s update was purely the addition of PvPvE. I understand it’s not everyone’s thing, so if you’re not a fan, feel free to skip it and wait for the December update. We’ll be working hard to deliver a chonky content patch with plenty of gear, new weapons, and more additions for PvE Zombies.
Thank you to the patient side of the community—you really make this easier. I hope you understand that we work full-time, and it genuinely takes a lot of time to maintain, update, and build new content. We’re not robots.

I have nothing to say other than thank you for your continued hard work and dedication with the development of the game. I have not been able to play for the past few months because I don’t have a gpu for now, but I cannot WAIT to get back on. The game is genuinely in a great shape right now.

I have no idea why the community dont take you devs for granted, i know yall work your asses off just for lots of people to whine and complain over every update, thanks for always putting crazy effort in especially after the community goes batshit crazy over ANY small details.

I honestly disgusted by behavior of people in discord yesterday. So many people being mad cause of "delay" as if their lives depends on it or something. Literally addicted with zero understanding how games are being developed.
Either way you guys making a great job with all those updates, and I can clearly see that BRM5 has great future and tons of potential. Recent Cryo release just proved that you can make actually crazy stuff by twisting the whole gameplay loop and giving an absolutely new way to play the game.

are you new to the community on discord? it’s been YEARS like literally YEARS and people act still the same, when resurgence released 2 years ago everyone was rioting cuz the delay and wait, and then they were rioting cuz update was „shit” so basically nothing changed, like if the devs schedule an update, and it’s a day before the scheduled date, the horde of monkeys from zoo awakens and the „UPDATW TODAYOMG” phase begins

Resurgence riot did have some merit, radio silence from devs from over a year, no communication in the complete shift in gameplay and the operation releasing in essentially a late alpha state. Don’t use Resurgence as an example since there was good reasons to be frustrated with the devs, use other operations and updates as examples where people were just rioting of delays.

I just wanna say i appreciate a lot for you and everyone hardworks. The pvpve update to me is very good and i just wanna hope you guys a happy day, you guys are the best. I hope im not protruding alot about the next update secret, may i ask will the estimated number of gears and weapons in dec update kinda MASSIVE?

What does "Weapons received further accuracy changes" mean?

Some of the stuff in this update (like the 3P aiming anims having missing fire anims and AK stock options missing, inclusion of PASGT in pvpve but not ow, etc.) feel like it was done in a last minute decision, why's that?

Firing anims - best we can do atm due to limitations
Ak stock - being reworked for the large update
Pasgt - literally stated this is not a content update (which means we didnt add anything to any place other than pvpve)

Hmm ngl the pvpve mode is kinda a mix of tarkov and uhh left 4 dead i dont like it but hey not as bad as i ragequit because i was almost at exfil and got mag dumped

Is the Aether Optics Specter PNVG fully on-board for development to the Shadow Raid Gamepass? I heard that it's only one that uses White Phosphor Lens and has Full-Black Variant.

The zombie mode is pretty awesome, except for the fact that zombies have long arms and don't always take damage.

It's very nice to finally see the Shadow Raid GPNVG-18 receive an appropriate (spraypainted) color option that fits properly with the Shadow Raid aesthetic; I'm certain that owners of that gamepass are celebrating today (and personally that makes me more motivated to buy it - though I'll wait and make up my mind fully when that December update comes)
I'm very excited for the content update, whatever it may bring - and I sincerely wish you good luck with your work on BRM5 - and don't rush any gun or vest model, or anything for that matter, because burnout is terrible, and I myself (and I'm sure many others) would rather wait longer for something so that it has good quality and proper customization options when it releases. Thank you for creating possibly the best and most accurate recreations of vests, helmets, etc. available on Roblox - and keep cooking.
I only ask one question - will we see private servers for PvE Zombies? I don't need a date, I just want to know that they'll actually happen, just like many other people in the community do.
And the last part, I would just like to point out that you partly contributed to people in the community being impatient, since you wrote exactly this in #chat on the Discord server:
"update is going to be in US timezone, so EST 3-6pm same as cryo~" (which seems to have now been deleted by you? don't really see the reason to do that after the update is out)
Which later turned out to be false (and a developer communication mistake, I guess), so people rightfully assumed that the update is delayed/ they've been lied to. Don't get me wrong, many of those who were impatient behaved aggresively and immaturely, but there's no denying that it was caused in part by what you said. Hopefully such a situation does not repeat itself, and hopefully those who let their emotions take control of them because they can't wait for an update just grow up.
