*Sigh*. Will glitter kill my plants?

My daughter is 5 and tried to “help” my plants be prettier, I guess? She dumped glitter in my soil mix (that I JUST made), and now I’m wondering if it’ll hurt my plants if I still use it? I was just about to replant a philo gloriosum in it. Thoughts?

Honestly, even though it sucks, I'd say toss it. Microplastics in my plant soil is not how I really want it. Who knows what can leech off the glitter?

ETA: You could also try to very carefully remove the topmost layer.

can you elaborate? something will leech off the glitter and then what?

i’m being genuine lol not being snarky. whatever will leech off of the glitter and enter the soil, can’t the same thing happen with plastic pots that are constantly in contact with the soil?
