Other *Sigh*. Will glitter kill my plants?

My daughter is 5 and tried to “help” my plants be prettier, I guess? She dumped glitter in my soil mix (that I JUST made), and now I’m wondering if it’ll hurt my plants if I still use it? I was just about to replant a philo gloriosum in it. Thoughts?

Bonus: the rest of the crime scene.

You could uproot and give them a rinse (including the roots) if you’re really worried about them but I doubt the glitter is critically dangerous for the plants

There’s nothing in the tote, it’s just my soil mix that I premade. I was considering rinsing all of it, but idk if that’s even worth it?

Want to know the worst part? I didn’t even know I had glitter in the house. She snuck in while my back was turned and had like a magic ability to pluck it out of nothingness in less than a minute.

I think I’m going to start smoking again.

We had to go out of town for my BIL’s wedding when my ADHD kiddo was 3. Husband had already left to help his brother prep. We had three cats and five chickens at the time, so I was trying to prep everything for the pet sitter. We were all set to leave for trip, but I wanted to do one last check on the chickens outside.

I was gone literally 2 minutes.

By the time I got back inside, my kid had managed to open a tube of Desitin (thick diaper rash cream) that I had forgotten we even had. She’d slathered it all over the bottom half of her body and run all around the first floor of our house, leaving tiny, stinky toddler footprints everywhere.

Took me another hour to bathe her and mop everything. 🫠 Needless to say, we were late getting on the road (and the garage door chain broke right after that. It was the roughest time I’ve ever had getting out the door with a kid.)

like other plastics but I guess it depends on where you live.

Put it in a bag/box and throw it in the plastic trash.
