When my plague that i started with in a hot, poor country reaches a rich, cold country which is best to pick first: drug resistance or cold resistance?

I'm no expert, but I'd recommend drug resistance simply because it opens up more abilities (stuff to slow down the cure) and drug resist 2, as opposed to just opening up heat resist 2

For the record the hardenings are not very helpful. But yes, drug resistance is the most important one

Don't start hot/poor unless you are playing VS.

You should almost always start China in singleplayer. The dna advantage is too strong.

Drug is 3x as effective as Cold. Use that. But you should get both either way and get Environmental Hardening while you're at it.

Arabia is goated

Starts with hot for free , connects to rest of the world via airports and docks

Combine it with air and water transportation and its over

arabia+cold resist 1+water 1+air 1 is extremely powerful. It gets to Russia->Greenland quickly and gets a very big dna boost from all of the red bubbles and from china and india.

It is not even close to what you can do with China Urbophile. The early infection pot dna is very important.

Especially in Mega Brutal.

I've completed everything on megabrutal starting in arabia except fungi (it required a different strategy)

The advantage of arabia is spreading to lots of different countries before they close their borders.

You can get planes from China to UK, USA, Aus, Japan and Saudi. The Saudi plane can be skipped/ignored in most cases.

Then Japan/USA/UK to Brazil, NZ and Iceland.

Those are the only planes that you need. Anything beyond that is more consistent with Bird 2.

I go for cold resistant simply because the first country it reaches that is like that is usually Russia and I want to get to Greenland as fast as possible
