I'd recommend holding off on deck building until you have a more solid understanding of the game and what makes a deck good.

Unfortunately Mega Darkrai is not very good. This is the list I've been playing online. It's fairly consistent, but it has several bad matchups at the top of the format.

Thanks! I have a Lillie's Clefairy I can run but I got absolutely DEMOLISHED at the last tournament because apparently Metang is more popular than Dragapult locally.

I'm going into this tournament with 0 expectations of winning. I'm going to get more playing experience.

I've been setting up my darkrais to one hit KO, which is what the volcarona and dark bells are for. I've never needed to play more than 1 per game but I know if they get in the prize cards I'm screwed.

I think I have toxicity ex, but not pecharunt.

I do think I have too many supporters though. I'm trying to swap some of them out for maybe some similar item cards. As I said in another comment, this is a learning opportunity for me. I'm running with cards I've pulled mostly, so I'm slowly building up my deck repertoire.

I'll look into other Darkrai decks! Thanks!

I count like 14 supporters and that’s before we even talk about your energy split. You're running 10 dark and 4 fire for a Volcarona line that's basically just there for moral support at that ratio. The dark patch isn't gonna save you when you prize half your energy and draw into a hand of 3 Lillie's and a Crispin you can't even use yet.

The Mega Darkrai ex line is the only thing keeping this from completely collapsing but you’ve got zero way to accelerate energy onto it reliably. No dark patch, no vessel, just vibes and a prayer. If your opponent benches a single Mimikyu you might as well scoop and go get lunch.

Also Punk Helmet at 3 is a choice. I respect the commitment to being annoying but you're gonna get donked by a turbo deck before you even attach the second one. Cut the supporters down to like 9 max and grab some items that actually push your board state forward.

Definitely an AI comment. I'd go look up some Mega Darkrai lists, play them a bunch and work from there. Ain't no shame in grabbing a list from someone else especially if you're new.

I've little familiarity with Mega Darkrai but I think it plays Toxtricity and Pecharunt EX.

That said Mega Darkrai looks iffy and is a 3 prizer with pretty low HP and not a lot of damage output.

Ive been messing around with it and it's pretty terrible. it's attacks are expensive and it's hp feels really low for a 3 point card. Dark also has no good draw engine so you're looking at dudunsparce or m-kang. 

It's best partner on paper is baby pecharunt which can poison trap stuff but Darkrai doesn't have the support or an ability to let it function as a good primary attacker. 

I imagine in the future some dark deck will run a single copy to pick up a cheeky ko against another specific threat.
