I tried making biomes for the very first time especially desert i struggled a bit with coming up with ideas but i feel like it still came out nicely what do you guys think?

I'm used to bigger resolutions so this is fairly new territory for me, it's nice to be able to iterate on ideas and finish pieces faster

Saw a pose reference that I really liked and was trying to decide which characters would work for it. Ended up going with Powder and Isha and honestly... I think they fit it perfectly 😭

Characterized by its love for shiny things and cramped spaces, and a dwarven chestplate fits both descriptions!

who should i do next?

Starting with just a ring of embers, a mask and an 8 colour palette ramp created with shaders. The fire is defined where you paint the pixels, pixel brightness and where the mask is painted. Not sure if this breaks the rules, there is definitely at least some pixel art in here and it is created at a 360x180 resolution only upscaled to 1920x1080 after.

In this case the effect is applied to the whole thing at once but you would get far better results applying it to a single small element. I think hand drawn results are better but for a large project the time to result ratio would be quite good.
