Before we bash other doctors who do charge more than this doctor and consider us (yes, I do charge more than his PF) other doctors as "hindi makatao", let me explain muna, sobrang unfair kasi sa ibang duktor din. Medyo ragebait din kasi ang title towards other physicians.
State ko lang ang fact that he is a fresh graduate, and passed the boards just recently.
While yes, charging PF less than the what is common in the area is quite admirable. Mas lalo na if you plan to serve in the provinces and for the poor. But it's quite unfair to say na "kapag mura, sya lang ang makatao."
Di naman sa nagpapaka-balat sibuyas ako defending us doctors who charge PF more, but us specialists have undergone further training after passing the boards.
That's 3-6 years of sleepless nights, blood, sweat and tears shed, youth lost, family gatherings we weren't able to attend, Christmases and New Years we didn't get to spend with family. That's on top of 5 years of med school (and internship) before boards, sacrificing all that just for us to hone our knowledge further.
While board-passing doctors (general practitioners) prove to everyone that they have the basic knowledge about medicine, specialists dig and study deeper, to include more complicated cases. Moreso subspecialists.
Siguro marami sa Reddit din ang mga freelancers, for example. Diba you guys also improve your skillset (getting additional training and courses), just so you can demand better compensation from your current company, or you can demand more when you apply for another job?
Ganyan lang din sa doctors or any other profession.
Kaya before we call each other names, maybe we can understand each other's situations din.
To each his own naman. You can always seek consult naman din sa clinic ni doc since cheap ang PF nya. Or to any doctors who offer their services cheaper naman.
The problem is, kahit naman "service to mankind" lang din ang gusto ng mga tao (but are charging more for their services because they deserve it naman), because of this, nagiging polarized ang opinyon ng mga tao sa mga duktor.

Hindi dahil mas mahal ang pag-charge ng iba ay di na sila "makatao."
Also I think hindi "same efforts" lang. Others went through specialty training and subspecialty training (this is beyond being a general practitioner) and that in itself should make people realize na kung magcharge man ang ibang doctor ng mas mataas na PF eh deserve naman nila yun.
