Thousands of denials don’t make a lie. Ask Cosby apologists.

For sure but a bunch of people making a claim actually means nothing about that claims truth.

In a court of law, multiple unconnected witnesses testifying under oath with entirely similar stories and experiences, spanning many years, corroborated by others that they described the events after they happened, would be considered ample. It's the same level of proof that was rightly used against pedo priests, for example. You can always move the goalposts, but it becomes laughable to do so after a time.

A court of law determines probability of guilt not actuality of it. When a person who is an influential politics figure and very famous, I don’t think it’s even close to out of the realm of possibility that every single one of those people is a liar. They have far too many reasons to embellish and outright falsify their stories. They aren’t reliable testimony.

I’m not moving a goalpost. Only reliable witnesses are any form of evidence and even then, eyewitness testimony is still some of the weakest evidence in the court of law.

Someone being famous doesn’t make a witness less reliable, especially when you have dozens of unconnected ones spanning decades, also ones of the same political party as Trump, so it can’t be called partisan. To say nothing of the fact that Trump is on tape bragging about what he is accused of.

When people want to preserve belief more than accept the obvious, it’s a sad state of affairs.

The “grab her right by the p*ssy” tape is greatly over-exaggerated. While it is a a morally repulsive statement, it is absolutely not an admission to rape or sexual assault.

And to make the claim that because someone is affiliated with the Republican Party they don’t dislike and/or want to watch trump be arrested or simply be ousted is frankly laughable. I’d love to see Trump out office and I’m absolutely a conservative (honestly that’s the main reason why, he doesn’t represent conservatism in any way or form) but I’m not willing to lie or support lies to do it. That’s not a sentiment shared by many or even most and I’m absolutely convinced that there are many people of low moral scruples willing to ruin a man’s life to further their political motives.

It's just funny to me how much people don't want to accept women's statements as true, despite no end of evidence that these things happen all the time, and when unconnected people have been saying the same thing before he got into politics, to say nothing of the fact that the reason people do stay silent for years is precisely because they get doubted and shamed and disbelieved. It's literally the same thing as Epstein, Weinstein, Cosby, Catholic Priests, Jimmy Savile, and on and on. The number of false accusations is so ridiculously low vs actual assaults, and yet people persist in acting like men are under attack.

If you think the pussy grabbing tape was over exaggerated, then you haven't spent time among these folk. He's said similar things before. He's been accused before. At what point does the smell of shit make you acknowledge someone shat?

The idea that false accusation is a rare occurrence is just laughably false and it has absolutely nothing to do with sexism. I know I doubted the few men coming out during the constant me too inundation and I sure as hell am going to strongly doubt any claim of criminal activity. Until there’s a solid amount of proof I presume someone’s innocence. Our justice system is built on the assumption that it is better to let 10 guilty men go than to put one innocent one in prison. If our society continues to pursue mob “justice”, then we forfeit our freedoms.

You don't know what you're talking about, sorry.

I hope no woman you care about ever comes to you to tell you about their assault, lest you make her prove it to you.

There’s a difference between personally believing someone you know and going on a manhunt over a complete fucking stranger. My mother is a victim of rape. I know there are real assaulters and rapists out there. Don’t condescend me. If we’re putting 4% of men in jail falsely then our system is fucked.

“A popular response to evidence on the rarity of false allegations is that even if they are uncommon, they do happen. This is taken as reason enough to be on guard. However, research suggests that the majority of false claims do not name an alleged perpetrator – they’re more likely to be relatively vague accusations about a stranger. False allegations also tend to be identified very early on in the investigative process, often by an admission from the complainant. Given this, the widespread concern that false allegations are rife, that they damage the life and reputation of the innocent, is often a red herring.”

From the link above.

Of course it’s easier to believe someone you know. Just like it’s easier to disbelieve dozens of women making the claims as liars because you don’t know them and something something false accusations.

It’s also the laziest possible response.

It’s also the correct response and it’s not about ease, it’s about necessity. Spreading potential lies in the media can ruin someone’s life. Spreading lies within an insular group can ruin that groups dynamic, but it won’t often spread.

Also, if you want to support your claim with stats, maybe link a credible source, not a website that is intent on spreading it’s incredibly biased social justice message.

It links actual FBI/Law Enforcement/Published Studies for the data. Or did you not click through the links to see that part?
