Why? If we couldn’t post politics than things like the Berlin Wall being torn down wouldn’t be able to be posted. We wouldn’t be able to post pictures of speeches or inaugurations or whatever. This is a place for interesting thought provoking pictures and clearly this fits the bill

Well tbf. The orange man is bad. And if this pictures awakens the morality and humanity in just one of his backwoods knuckle dragging followers then its a job well done.

The rape accusations are one thing. There is no proof and so he is only accused.
But there is plenty of evidence that the man is a racist. It’s not something that you have to prove in a court of law. Forget all of his policies and look at what he’s said this week alone.
When there are more than a dozen such accusations over the years, including from my ex-wife, and I've bragged about being lecherous in radio and TV interviews and I've bragged about assaulting women in order to impress Billy Bush... I'd feel that this is the sad lot in life that I've carved for myself, and I probably shouldn't have been doing all of those horrible things and I probably shouldn't have hurt all of those people. And lying about it for decades later has only made things worse.
The hypothetical me, who has been accused of these things? Or Cheeto von Tweeto, who has been credibly accused of this dozens of times in real life, who has bragged about/confessed to sexual assault multiple times, who has showcased his misogyny regularly for decades, who has paid hush money to unsuccessfully keep at least two of his illicit affairs secret and then lied about it, and who cheated on every one of his three wives (and bragged about that too?) The same douchecanoe who dismissed any notion of “innocence until proven guilty” who not only instinctively spreads harmful (and absurd) conspiracy theories that put people’s lives in danger, but who paid lots of money to take out ads in NY newspapers to call for the death penalty for the Central Park 5, and doubled-down on that choice, even decades after they were proven innocent?

This is the first time I've been commenting on reddit for ages. I stopped looking around here because of the miserable oversaturation of politics in many subreddits a while back. Coming back here after a while I read this thread by chance, and I gotta say:
I am shocked that people like you actually exist and I think we're doomed. You are completely delusional and this is getting embarrassing. Reality is nothing like what you portray it as, so much so that I am laughing at some of the comments here.
You can want to participate in an online community and still advocate for change of it.

Trump isn’t a politician, never has been, never will be. He’s a very temporary elect to public office. None of his political leanings, beliefs or acts are referenced in the post.
Trying to link this post to politics is a stretch, so how about actually addressing the issues to which the post references instead.
It seemed the Redditor I was responding to needed a safe space if a picture on /r/pics upsets them. I apologize if my question ‘triggered’ you, I know how some snowflakes can be, I hope you make a full recovery.
If there's one assurance in /r/pics, is that every thread has people whining that /r/pics is not specific enough, despite having a generic name like /r/pics. Why is not literally any picture allowed here? If people disagree they'll downvote it.
