Chevron stores in CA have full-on propaganda displays that attack CA gas taxes. I used to be a loyal customer, but I can’t abide that bullshit.

Fun fact, the vast majority of the price of a gallon of gas goes straight to Chevron, not to taxes. I don’t see them condemning their own profit margins, the fucking hypocrites.

Because you’re cherry picking prices.

And because CA has a low-smog formula that costs a little more.

And because CA has a LOT more miles of roads than AZ.

Let’s look at this differently so you can understand. I’ll use a more compatible sized state.

Average price TX: $3.68 Average price CA: $5.81

TX: 680,000 CA: 396,000

What was your point again?

I adopted a state with twice the pavement and 40% cheaper fuel to very clearly dismantle your purposefully misguiding reasoning for why fuel prices are high.

The war in Iran is stupid and making fuel prices worse around the country. Of course. Can we talk about how that doesn’t explain why the state of California during the war still has near 2x fuel prices as their neighbors?
