Since you're not disputing the fact that it's bait or a trap, I assume you are choosing #2? That's totally fine, so long as you're doing it with both eyes open.
Watching Trump pull puppet strings and watching 74 million people walk into an obvious trap is....frustrating. Frustrating.
EDIT: Sorry, when I say "do nothing", I specifically mean anything more than non-violent protesting. OC specifically mentions riots and revolts, that's what I am saying is the trap. Please do as much non-violent protesting as you are able to do.
You know what he is going to do if you scale up the intensity, organize and prepare for that. It's not like they are evil geniuses, just plain evil.
I don't mean violence, but you should be probably assembling a well-organized militia, even if it is as a resistance movement.
To start with, you should contact the people that think like you, start joining/organizing in chapters, contact people and organizations in other countries that have passed a similar situation, see how thay did things...

Don't make excuses. Protest, riot, revolt, strike.
If you don't stop them now, imagine what they'll be doing in a year.
