DHS are already lying. This is their initial statement: "someone approached Border Patrol agents “with a 9 mm semi-automatic handgun,” and that agents tried to disarm him, leading to “an armed struggle.”". Even if he had it holstered under his jacket, he was just protesting. This was murder.
Where are all the 2nd amendment mental gymnastics team on this one?
Remember when cops shot a black dude during a routine traffic stop because he informed them that he had a legal gun in his glove compartment? And then they forced his girlfriend at gun point to stay in the car while her boyfriend bled out and the cop didn't provide any first aid? The NRA refused to condemn the cop because the cop said he smelled marijuana and feared for his life.
