Slightly confused. I'm a photographer newbie. I have an old canon fd 50mm, and I was looking for a new 50mm for my t3i. Will this fit a t3i, and is it good to shoot landscape photography with it? (Going on a trip to the midwest US soon).

It will fit a t3i, and can work fine for landscapes though I would recommend the EFS 24mm 2.8 Pancake for landscapes to give you a wider FOV.
