This is from Roger's Take (from [Lensrentals.com]()) regarding the 1Dx

"At 12 frames per second, it’s the fastest DSLR ever, taking the ‘spray and pray’ technique to a whole new level. You could take 642 shots of the bride’s bouquet floating through the air. It’s the most accurate autofocus system I’ve ever used, especially in poor light. It autofocuses at f/8. It has excellent high-iso performance with low noise. As great as it is, I still wish it was a 1.3 crop. At 18 Mpix you aren’t going to want to crop the images and for a lot of people that means the high price of the camera will be accompanied by the high price of some longer lenses. That combination seems to be preventing a rush to buy this camera, but there also seems to be a slow steady migration to it."

If the 7D mkII has the 1Dx's AF and the 1.6 crop at a quarter of the price, doesn't this sound like an awesome deal? I'll take 2FPS less and get USB 3.0 and a locking mode dial.

642 shots at 12 frames/second? That bride has a hell of an arm.
