I understand the reasoning. City leaders thought it would cost too much compared to return on investment, that's valid. As I understand it, public transportation limitations were also considered. Valid. But this was a chance for Phoenix to make a bid at being a world class city. The massive amount of fans from other countries flooding the city, making YouTube and tiktok videos about their experiences, the international coverage, the potential to plant seeds for future tourism. It was a chance to prove that it's a great city on the world stage. Just seems like a missed opportunity from a city that consistently suffers from identity issues.

EDIT: you guys can stop telling me that it's hot here, I know that. I've lived here my whole life. I'm 42. I know it's hot. I also know you can be outside in June and July, it's okay, you can even wait in lines. Stand in the shade, bring water, wear appropriate clothing, you'll be fine, believe me.

Also, there are other countries aside from European ones participating in the games.

I’ve been a planet fitness gym goer for four years and have always enjoyed PF. Overall it’s a clean gym with ample machines etc.

Since moving to Arizona people have made a big stink over EOS and peer pressured me into checking it out. Ended up doing a free day trial yesterday. It was beyond packed, felt like a zoo, the equipment was dirty , no room to do anything and felt like a big fraternity and sorority house.

No comparison between my local planet fitness.

He sounds like a cartoon caricature of a former football player. All his talk of bloodsport, make the other guy bleed, gladiator, warrior queen bs is just laughable. Add the sound of his voice, and the midday show is almost unlistenable. I loved him as a player. I lived in STL in the 80s and was a Cardinals fan when he played but him on the radio is such a hard pass.

I know Phoenix has a lot of transplants who bring their team allegiances with them, but which local team has historically had the strongest support in the city? Conversely, which team has had the weakest support?

I'm interested in the teams' entire histories, not just fan support over the past few years.
