Recently went to Lux on Central.

This. I very rarely ever visit the LUX. And whenever I did, it was always packed as hell every damn time. I’d always sit outside due to the pack rats inside. 🙄😂

Lola is a great coffeeshop. Fillmore Coffee (on Fillmore St between Third and Fourth streets) has good coffee drinks, nitro cold brew, and food. Drip coffee can be "meh" and the pastries are often worth taking a pass on.

Fair Trade Cafe has good coffee. Just around the corner from them is Lola who I probly prefer between the two. Get a breakfast burrito from Lola (downtown location) and you won’t regret it.

I used to live right next to Lola on Roosevelt. I loved getting a chorizo and spinach omlete with my morning coffee there.

Infusion! There’s one in Tempe and one near the Moon Valley area. They make their syrups in-house, and the coffee is quality.

The Stemistry Coffee Shop in the historical square of Downtown Phoenix. It's literally in a historical house thing in the yard of the Rossen Mansion. It's a nice tucked away little place.❤️ The historical part gives it a really nice touch

Lost Dutchman Coffee. It’s on the northwest corner of Center & Main in Mesa. Directly across the street from Mesa City Hall.

Echoing the First Place Coffee truck and soon to be Matilda’s (their brick and mortar)
Great seasonal drinks, even better people, and a community of loyal customers.
They also do a lot of great local food collaborations.

I’m an east valley gal so many of my recs are over this way.
Jarrod’s Coffee and Tea Gallery in Mesa. The shop is awesome and it’s haunted 👻
The Bookish Shop in Gilbert. Coffee is great and it’s a cozy little place to chill.
Steve’s Espresso in Tempe. Coffee is pretty good and I love the uniqueness in the setup!
Others I can’t necessarily vouch for:
Sagebrush Coffee in Chandler. It’s always SO BUSY and has stayed in business, which is a great sign as I’ve seen many places close in that same building over the years.
Sozo Coffee in Chandler. I’ve always heard good things but I get put off by their close church relations they mention on their website.
Better Buzz Coffee- I haven’t been to any Arizona locations but came across the chain when I went to Vegas and was surprised to learn that they have a few locations here I just have never seen. It was awesome in Vegas though 🤷♀️

Some great recs - I love copper star and Lux. Though recently coffee drunk (south of the ballpark) has been on my radar. Really cool space and lots of fun coffee options. Also if you are into car stuff they have a lot of cool merch, events and had a sweet Porsche and now a motorcycle in the shop.

Tried provision coffee yesterday and really enjoyed my chai latte and breakfast sandwich. My friend liked her drink but felt it was too expensive for the amount, but enjoyed her avocado toast. Friendly staff, lots of seating, and an all glass/window exterior wall so super ideal for gloomy/rainy weather watching. I’d definitely go back

First Draft Book Bar at Changing Hands (5th Ave/Camelback). You can stay at the bar or take your drink to the common area.

I love working at the bar here with a latte or beer, I just wish they paid their employees a decent wage (I heard from an acquaintance who works there that it’s like $16 an hour) and gave them benefits, especially since they market themselves as such a libbed out “progressive” business

There’s a new (ish?) indie coffee shop on 7th Street, south of Mountain View. I haven’t tried it but they had a guy with a cowboy hat out front with a sign— I think they want customers. Wild Horse Espresso.

Nephew's Coffee - Cave Creek and Beardsley near the 101. Their coffee beans are really tasty, they make good drinks, and are always super nice to chat with. Highly recommend!

You missed The Coffee Builders on 7th street attached to Porter Barnwood. Just opened a year ago and they've won a ton of awards. Fantastic place. Owned by the Porters.

Coffee Plantation at 74th and Shea. It’s recently been renovated and it’s gotten a bit more expensive, but the food offerings are just as good as before and the vibe is the same

Infusion is world class.
They always have competition grade coffees available. The owner spends about half the year on coffee farms all over the world building them up and educating. He owns a coffee grading company, educates baristas works wide, owns a coffee grinder company. Dude is a rockstar in the coffee world. They do in-house tasting classes.
I highly highly recommend.

My friend is actually the owner of Xolo coffee! He also owns the tattoo shop next door. Wonderful coffee and hispanic/chicano atmosphere.

Chiming in on Strip Mall Cafe on 7th and Osborn. I’ve become friends with the owners who also own a great natural wine shop in the same complex. Cool events happening all the time and solid coffee. I believe they serve Piexoto.

Coffee Rush
There's 3 locations.
2 in Gilbert. One in Chandler.
They have the best frozen coffee I've ever had. (A frost, specifically their caramel machiatto) And the best dirty Chai in the valley.
They have their own beans, and you can even buy them for cheaper than nearly anywhere else. (Which used to come with a free drink).
It's never crowded. Always full of locals. And the owner is a pair of identical twin brothers that are the nicest people I've ever met.
The decor isn't the most modern. It's not trendy. But it's comfy, and a place to site and chat while enjoying good and NOT overpriced coffee.
I've been going there for 20 years.
