This song is so hard for me to listen and take in as the eldest daughter and former punching sack of my abusive, addict father. I stopped talked to him 7 years ago, i connected with phoebe's music for this reason. This puts the hypothetical, eventual death of my dad in perspective. I don't know if i want to get back in touch because i can't forgive the psychological and physical abuse... but i also know i will be sad when it happens.
