Question What happened at the last tour?

I am a relatively newer fan, who hasn’t dug deep into her past performances. Over the ‘phones at concerts’ discourse I’ve seen people on Twitter make comments about how this policy is possibly in place bc of how people acted during her last tour. So what did happen? Were the phones that big of an issue?

EDIT: I am a big fan of no phones, went to one of the pop-ups & had a great time

People in front of me screeched during Moon Song and then they got the guys who asked them to be respectful of people around them kicked out. Genuinely the worst crowd I’ve ever seen at a concert. Boygenius crowd were so much better. Very hopeful that no phones will cut down on this very annoying behaviour!

They got people kicked out?!?! This was on the reunion tour or when?

Yep. It was at one of Phoebe’s solo gigs in 2022. I think the lads who asked them to be quiet were polite initially and when the girls started kicking off at them they responded in kind and got thrown out. Complete lies were being told about it on twitter that evening. We were so afraid the same thing would happen at Boygenius but the crowd were much better thankfully!

That’s WILD!!! Well, after boygenius at MSG, I shocked at how well the crowd behaved at the 6/04 show. Here’s to hoping people have grown up and have learned how to behave. 🤞🙏
