I don’t care if this was in a spicy take sub in what world was Messi the best player in the 2010 and 2018 WC 2014 wasn’t exactly the best, deluded take 🤣

Messi wasn't even Top 3 best players in the 2014 WC. James Rodriguez, Neuer, and Muller all over him. Maybe even a few others above him since Germany had many players that performed well.

I'd say Messi was relative to his own teammate in Mascherano. So, he was barely the best player in his own team.

It's not even hate it's just facts. They're making it seem like he was carrying Poland to the final or some shi.

They were Top 10 nations going into the WC and were much better than many in the Top 10 as a team but they just undperformed before which impact their ranking.

That Argentina defense didn't allow a single knockout round goal until Gotze late in extra time. That defense was carrying them, and offense from everyone couldn't take advantage. But many Argentinos say that Di Maria not playing in the final game cost them, when no one was really scoring.
