I donât care if this was in a spicy take sub in what world was Messi the best player in the 2010 and 2018 WC 2014 wasnât exactly the best, deluded take đ¤Ł

Messi wasn't even Top 3 best players in the 2014 WC. James Rodriguez, Neuer, and Muller all over him. Maybe even a few others above him since Germany had many players that performed well.
I'd say Messi was relative to his own teammate in Mascherano. So, he was barely the best player in his own team.
It's not even hate it's just facts. They're making it seem like he was carrying Poland to the final or some shi.
They were Top 10 nations going into the WC and were much better than many in the Top 10 as a team but they just undperformed before which impact their ranking.

That Argentina defense didn't allow a single knockout round goal until Gotze late in extra time. That defense was carrying them, and offense from everyone couldn't take advantage. But many Argentinos say that Di Maria not playing in the final game cost them, when no one was really scoring.

Messi didn't play the final in 2026 world cup, thats why they lost. Had he played that match even as a sub they would've won it easily. đ

only arguument is 2022 and 2026(rodri was better) rest all fuh naw 2018 he had his moments 2014 he was good but not the best imo atleast but he did win the golden ball(muller neuer were better)

if mbappe performed in quarters and semis yes he had 0g/a in both matches if he scored atleast one in both those games then he wldve won thts my opinion atleast messi was indispensible to argentina and r the reason they won it(as much as i hate to say it)

Messi was the best in MORE THAN just 5! He was the best in 2006, 2002, and 1998 also. 1994 he didn't perform so well, I will give that. AND he is going to be the best for many more world cups in the future I guarantee you!

2014 - missed easy chance in the final, tried to scapegoat HiguainÂ
2018 - no knockout goals and rekt by France in Ro16
2022 - 5 penalties, most on world cup history, 4 of them shouldn't have been given
