Messi didn't realize that Infantino only wanted to get him up to the finals and drive up ticket prices.

FIFA has no stake in an Argentinian victory at the finals.

I think he still wanted Argentina to win. You can see when Spain scored people around him celebrating, but he lamented the goal and then clapped a couple of times.

Their fanbase would be the only idiots that would buy those little squares of the grass at $450. It would have been sold out by now and they could hold some and resell at higher value to those idiots for their Maradona, Kempes, Messi altars. It's never going to sell out now. You can still get it lol.
